It was a few days after Harry and Y/N had been brought to Umbridge's offices, and the words on their hands were starting scab over. Both had managed to prevent anyone from seeing it, the two happy since it would've only caused more drama.
Y/N had also figured out the different secret pathways and hallways that she could use as Prefect, all of them making it easier to get to and from certain places. One of these places being the Gryffindor common room, made it incredibly easy for the group of friends to see each other, as well as the occasional nightly sneak out between Hermione and Y/N.
Now, the group of friends was seated in the Gryffindor common room, all of them looking through books and pages of class material as they all did homework and studied together in front of the fireplace.
Y/N sat on the floor next to Sofia and Corey, the Golden Trio on the couch, and the rest of them sprawled out around them. She was looking through a textbook, specifically one for Potions.
A new year at Hogwarts and Snape still managed make that class a living hell for Y/N, despite Hermione's many attempts to help her.
She groaned as she shut the book with a thud, everyone turning to Y/N with amused expressions as she stuffed her face into her hands. Corey watched from next to her as he leaned back on his hands.
"Having problems," he asked in a teasing tone, Y/N picking her head up to glare at the boy. "Don't test me, Fogelmanis. I have Potions homework."
The boy seemed to immediately get how aggravated Y/N as he sent her an apologetic smile. "What's the homework?"
"I don't even know," Y/N exclaimed, "He gave us a piece of paper with the grading rubric and and said 'start writing'! Snape didn't even tell us what it was about!"
"It was on the Alihosty Drought potion," Brianne spoke up, eyeing Y/N with a small smirk. "You know, the one that causes someone to hysterically laugh?"
"When did we learn that," Y/N asked, eyeing her friend curiously. "Literally, just two days ago," Brianne said as a laugh left her lips, Y/N's face heating up with a blush. The group erupted into laughter as they watched Y/N stammer.
"No we didn't, Snape never taught it!"
"Yes he did," Ron said with a smile, "You dozed off in the middle, remember? He called you out for daydreaming in class."
Y/N grumbled as she glared towards the redhead on the couch, everyone watching amused. "No one asked you, Weasley."
Ron shot his hands up defensively as Y/N let out a huff and opened the Potions textbook back up. Everyone started to conversed as they asked questions about each class, all of them having the same ones.
