Hermione slightly pulled away from Y/N with a smile as they looked into each other's eyes, both having a shimmer of happiness in them. They both giggled at each other with their foreheads pressed together as Hermione pecked Y/N's lips once more.

Y/N and Karan sat next to each other as Brett and Jenna sat behind them at their desk. Harry and Ron sat in front of them as Hermione sat to the left of Y/N across the aisle at her desk that she shared with a Hufflepuff.
The group was in their first Defense Against the Dark Arts class of the fifth year, all of them excited to finally learn more advanced magic. Harry had enchanted a piece of paper to fold itself up as a bird and fly around the room, which is why everyone was trying to catch it now.
"Bring it over here; over here!"
The piece of paper glided through the air as the room fell into chatter, everyone trying to catch it from their seats. It flew to the left of the room, soaring over Hermione as she giggled. Y/N's heart swelled at the sound as she watched it now float over Dean and Seamus.
"Go on, Seamus. Get it!"
He rose his hand as he swatted it, missing it by a hair as his fingers brushed it. It switched over towards Y/N and the five other friends, flying over Jenna and Brett's head as Karan went to hit at it. He missed it, Crabbe slinging a piece of crumbled up paper at it from his slingshot, hitting the paper bird in the wing.
Everyone laughed as they watched Harry and Ron grab at it, the two completely missing it as it flew through them. It flew past them and above the Patil twins, everyone watching with a smile. Those smiles quickly faltered however, as the paper bird was lit up into flames, falling onto the Patil twins' desk burnt to a crisp.
Y/N huffed as she looked to the back of the room, Umbridge now seen at the door the classroom. "Buzz kill," she muttered under her breath, her friends around her only being able to hear her. They all snickered as Hermione side glanced her girlfriend, but Y/N could see the small smile playing on her lips.
"Good morning, children," she said, her evil smile back. Everyone was now turned around in their seats towards the woman as she made her way through the aisle of desks, her wand pointed towards a chalkboard at the front.
"Ordinary Wizarding Level Examination," she said, words scribbling onto the board with her every word. Everyone turned in their seats as Umbridge made her way to the front, now standing in front of everyone.
"O-W-L! More commonly known as O.W.L.s," she said, her voice too preppy for Y/N. "Study hard, and you will be rewarded. Fail to do so, and the consequences may be severe."
Her eyes glued to Y/N's as she finished talking, but she made no move to disconnect them. She wasn't going to back down to the woman in front of her, she wouldn't give in. Umbridge flicked her wand behind her, the textbooks now moving themselves off of a desk and down each aisle of desks.
