"You can't blame yourself for this, mate."
"I know, I know," Harry mumbled under his breath, his feet trudging against the wooden boards of the bridge beneath him. "You tried, Harry. Umbridge is just one unbeatable, old, sad hag," Corey murmured out, Y/N snickering from next to him.
"Really, Har. Dumbledore didn't see it coming, either," Sofia protested, trying to lighten his mood. Harry stopped in front of the ledge, slightly leaning over it as he looked at the ground under the bridge. He had a small frown, Y/N letting out a sigh to go stand next to him.
"Seriously, you can't beat yourself up for this."
"Honestly, if it's anyone's fault, it's ours," Hermione said softly, Jenna and Brianne agreeing from next to her. "Yeah, we talked you two into it," Ron countered. "We shouldn't have egged you two on," Brett agreed, Karan humming in agreement as well.
"Yeah, but we both said 'yes' to the idea," Harry murmured out, turning to look at his friends as Y/N stood next to him. "Y/N and I tried so hard to help, and it's only made things worse."
"That doesn't matter anymore, though," Y/N spoke up, looking out at the scene in front of her as she leaned over the railing. "Everything's over, and I don't want to play hero anymore. I highly doubt you do, Harry. We've been doing it for years. We all know it makes you care too much."
The group of friends watched as the two cousins sighed, looking over the expansion in front of them from their spots on the bridge. "And the more you care, the more you have to lose," Harry muttered. "So maybe it's just better to-"
"To what," Hermione said, a frown on her face as she watched Harry and Y/N turn to look at them. "To go it alone," Harry murmured out. Hermione sent him a stern look, Y/N nodding from next to Harry. "Maybe he's right," she said quietly, avoiding her girlfriend's scolding glare.
The group sat in silence for a few moments, no one saying anything as Harry and Y/N began to grow uncomfortable under their stares.
"Pst!"
The group of friends turned to the sound of the noise, Hagrid being seen a few feet from them. He looked at them incredulously, the group growing confused. He nodded his head in the direction behind him, leaving them all slightly confounded. Y/N watched as the giant disappeared for a moment before letting out a small sigh, grabbing Harry's arm gently and tugging him to where the half-giant had left. The rest followed after them.
