WHEN you, Bella, and Charlie finally made it to the diner, you were shocked by how much attention you and her cousin were receiving. For the second time today, all eyes were on the two of you- though it was for a different reason.
Employees were throwing around 'i remember when you were this little' comments while the two of you just nodded and smiled, not being able to remember for themselves.
It was always an uncomfortable situation having people remember you while you didn't recognize them at all. It almost made you feel a little bad. However, no one seemed to mind.
Waitresses brought a couple of your old favorite foods with nothing short of beaming smiles on their faces and you couldn't help but smile back.

When Astrid arrived home she couldn't help but feel overjoyed with all the progress she was making. It was only the first day. She began to plan her strategies. She also needed advice on how to remain professional, when she handed off the notebook to you with her number on it, a million thoughts bombarded her. That wasn't originally part of the plan. But she couldn't help it. There was something about you that told Astrid to keep you around.
---
Her mother didn't seem to take the argument as well.
"You were supposed to keep this strictly professional." her mom signed out in a language that Astrid picked up instantly.
Astrid could do nothing but shake her head, waves crashing around her, salty ocean air rushing in her face. The sand crunched beneath her feed, seaweed occasionally washing up as well and tangling around her favorite boots.
"You don't understand, I am making intense progress this way. If I continue to do this, everything will work out. It will be done my way or no way," she concluded, walking away from the beach without another word.
Her mom, Althea, fumed at her stubbornness, deciding to leave it.
Astrid found it wrong to use Y/n. She just needed the trust to be mutual, and natural. In that case, maybe she should keep it down with the dramatics. The eye-color change was a slip-up, one of great fault. It wouldn't happen again- it couldn't.

After finding yourself full of the many courses served to you within the past couple of hours, you decided to get started on the homework you had when you got home. It was madness, having homework on your first day but you soon remembered, you wouldn't have it if you had done the work during class.
You quickly scribbled down all the notes that Astrid had so kindly passed down to you and took the time to study them so you didn't seem as clueless as you really were next class.
Eventually, a ringtone shattered the silence in the room. You heard it to be Bella's mom who had called her to check in and give a recap of how life's been while she was away. You zoned out, not bothering to listen to the conversation, sitting on the floor next to Bella's bed.
