previously: r-ryn what?"

"there is vampire here."

"there's a fucking what?"

"THERE is vampire in your house." she knocked over things in your closet, banging at the wall. the wall that connected both your bedroom and bella's.

"w-what the fuck do you mean a vampire? since when were vampires in washington?"

"there are many things here. mermaids, wolves and…" she hissed out at the mention, stopping her rushed movements. "vampires."

"ryn you sound insane."

"am not crazy. there is vampire in her room. we see for ourselves." she stormed out of your room, making her way to bella's. you followed her with the most confused expression, trying to stop her.

"ryn no, you knock-" she threw bella's door open, stopping at the frame and staring at the bed with heavy breaths.

you slowly walked up behind her, looking over her shoulder. the room was impossibly dark, the only light being the moonlight filtering through the blinds. and with this tiny bit of provided light, your eyes traced over the figure of another person lying next to bella.

they sat up in a protective stance, and you squinted to see who it could possibly be. "vampire." ryn breathed out quietly.

the person snapped their head towards you both quickly, running towards the window, jumping out an inhumane speed.

"what the fuck!" you ran to the window, placing your hand on the frame as your head hung out looking around for someone, anyone. but no one was there. only the cricket sounds stood out to you.

bella jumped up from sleep, groaning. "what happened?"

"was someone here with you? just now."

"edward, he came- shit." she stopped, covering her mouth.

"edward...a vampire?"

"i didnt tell you anything and now im going to sleep and not talking because it wasn't me." bella announced, turning on her side.

you scoffed, leaving the room and grabbing ryn by the hand to follow after you.

jumping into bed, you internally called out protests of denial. this wasn't happening. this wasn't possible. you threw the blankets over you. "ryn, bed. now." you spoke pointing next to you.

she nodded, throwing off her shoes and coat settling herself into bed next to you. wrapping her arms around you, you sighed in content, your body finally being able to relax in her embrace.

"im so sick of all this weird stuff." you confessed, your words muffled in her arm.

"all the things that happen…this worry y/n?"

you looked up to her. it did make more sense to be worried than annoyed. but your life had never been more complicated and none of it even really had to do with you.

ever since you arrived in this town you've been walking this path of questions and answers. but right now you just wished the path would stop, that you could finally find your way out the forest. the never-ending, gloomy, forest of evergreen trees that trapped you in their haze.
