YOU tossed and turned a tremendous amount that night. Woken up each hour with visions of screams and fangs. It was disturbing, not the nightmares, those were a common occurrence now.

This time the fangs were different, before the fangs were been pearly white, the color of human teeth, and only a few of them were sharp enough to scare you out of the dream. Now they were gray, almost blue. each and every tooth as sharp as a knife, almost like a shark.

The screams? they were muffled, almost like they were being drowned, succumbed under a big body of water.

It was only a matter of time before visualization of your own lungs filling infinitely with water ― suffocating you ― that you awoke, holding your throat, feeling the air letting relief fill your senses.

If the bad dreams weren't enough for the night, you hear singing. a beautiful melody of vocals sung. It was mesmerizing, nearly compelling. You'd never heard a song like it before. You were no longer in control of your mind or body, following the source of the sound.

You met eyes with a shadowy figure outside of the window, squinting in an attempt to them, swallowed by the dark of night. The loose coils of dark hair caught your attention. Bright blue eyes that you'd never seen before ― which couldn't be right because they were so familiar ―   and finally, the sweet caramel complexion, of a girl that was uniquely her own.

Astrid was dragging you in with the angelic hymm. You stuck in a trance, there was something so captivating about her, about the song. No rational part of your mind existed anymore. The only thing that made sense was... more. You needed more.

Against your will, you closed your eyes tight, shaking your head only slight before opening your eyes again, vision blurred and mind racing.

How did you get here?

If you weren't so confused you'd be laughing at yourself right now.

Sleepwalking, really? and the window?

You gave one last glance out the window, seeing nothing but the trees swaying in the breeze like usual before heading back to bed.

The dip in the bed woke Bella, "Are you okay?" she asked you with sleep-squinted eyes and a groggy voice.

"Thought I saw something," you breathed out a laugh allowing the humor of it all to finally take place.

she hummed, flipping over on her side with her back facing you, drifting back off to sleep.

you sighed, trying your hardest to ignore whatever just happened and let your sleep consume you again.

Pulled from her daze, Astrid walked through town, hands running through her curls- stressfully she cursed herself over and over.

How did she even get out of the house? Did anyone see her? How could this happen?

This was wrong, all wrong. It was so much worse than just a mistake.

As if falling in love with a girl wasn't enough, she almost got her killed.

There was a part of her, that thirsted to drag you to the deep depths of the waters― to be with her. Love her for her own. She longed to show her everything she had to offer and the secrets she kept just for you.

She sighed in despair. They could never be happy together.

Now that y/n had heard her song, responded to it and invited it in... who knew what could happen?

Astrid had tried every positive affirmation she could possibly memorize, anything to convince herself that what happened tonight wouldn't cause any setback. It couldn't harm you, wouldn't change anything between the two of you and she could continue to do what it was she was sent for.
