Chapter 14

I watched as the ash-blonde haired hedgehog falls to the ground, panting heavily as he did so. I resisted giving him a mocking smirk as to not provoke him and let him challenge me for the nth time. We are having our combat training for three hours now and we keep scores on who has the most hits.

"That's 603 for me and 289 for you, kid. Stand up, we'll have our cool down now," I extended my hand for him to reach but he only scoffs and swatted my arm away. Annoyed, I smacked him in the head.

"Oy! Let's have another round!" he persisted as he stood up and dusted his pants to which I shook my head.

"No. We have enough today. Let your body take a break, yeah?" I turned around and walked to get my towel from the nearby bench inside this gym that I have rented for a few hours.

"Not yet..."

A whisper broke in the silence and I looked back at Bakugou. "Hmm? What is that?"

His shoulders are down and his eyes are downcast. "I'm not as strong as you yet," he mutters lowly that I have to strain my ears to hear him.

I sighed as I approached him and sat down beside him. When you mention the name "Bakugou," I'm sure everyone immediately thinks of the word "strong." He's a tough guy with a lot of potential. His desire to be number one, which was initially his goal, is now a front for his ultimate purpose, which is to save the important people in his life.

"That's normal. It's not like you can achieve my level overnight," this made him turn at me with the nastiest glare he can offer.

"What the heck, you old hag?! You better watch-" but before he can finish his sentence, I already smacked him in the head again and forced him to sit down.

"I'm not finished, yet! Shut up for a while and listen!" I waited for a few seconds for him to compose himself and when he does, I continued.

"As I said, realistically, you can't reach my level yet. But that's because I have 11 more years of experience than you. I have fought more villains than you. I developed so many techniques and combos which are advantageous," he had a faraway look on his face but I know that he's still actively listening to me. I sighed.

"What I'm saying is, I got this far because I worked my ass off. So I know that someday, you'll be on par with me- heck, I won't even be surprised if you will surpass me."

"Hell yeah! I definitely would!" he suddenly proclaims which made me jump a little in shock. This made me smile gently and ruffled his hair which made him scoff and swatted my hand away. I only chuckled at his pouty face. Tss. What a baby!

"That's why work hard every day but also take good care of your body. Remember to rest so your body can be ready for the next day. Don't rush your improvement because most of the time you'll do more harm than good. And it will render your body useless. Do you understand, Bakugou?"

I made sure to look at him in the eyes so he'll understand what I'm saying. His amber orbs reflect understanding and that's good enough for me. Bakugou looked away and I watched as he stood up and went to his things on the bench.

He looked back at me and said, "Oy old hag! Aren't we cooling down or whatever?"

"I told you to stop calling me old hag! I am your master! Call me shishou!" I screeched as I marched to where he's at. But before I can yet again deliver a smack on his head, I remembered something.

"Oh, I just remember! Eri is having a sleepover in your dorm tonight. You better guard her against that pervert Mineta, alright? I am assigning you to be responsible for her safety while she's in your territory."
