I wiped the sweat that runs down from my temple to the side of my neck. The one thing I hate about moving is arranging your stuff to your new home. It is completely taxing to try and put things in order. Not to mention my disorganized ass could never keep my room clean for a week. My bras would be everywhere- behind my pillow, on my desk or chair, and even under the bed.
But now that I have roommates, especially a little girl who'd barge in anytime, I should keep this room as tidy as it can be. Speaking of whom, Eri burst through the door of my room, the sound of frozen II soundtrack follows her as she is holding onto my iPad. She looked around the room before landing her gaze on me.
"Do you need anything, doll?" I asked, setting aside the few boxes that I still need to organize.
She nodded her head and walked in front of me. She reached her hand towards me and I know what she wanted right away.
"Okay here, sit down on my lap and I'll show you once again," sitting down on the floor, I waited for her to settle before taking the iPad from her.
"See this? You have to click this one and this one. Then, you can start choosing your filter," I instructed as she bobs her head to what I'm saying.
Earlier today, I was taking an Instagram story with Eri to commemorate our moving day and she has been obsessed with the filters ever since. She hurriedly took the iPad from my hand and browsed the effects.
I put my chin on the top of her head, glancing over at the screen. I noticed that she loves those silly and cutesy kinds. She reached her hands forward so she can take a selfie with me.
"Smiiiiile~" the little girl commanded and I can't help but laugh at how ridiculous we looked.
"We look like bees, Eri! Our eyes are bigger than saucers," she only giggled and continued in her search for another filter.
"Do you like your room?" I questioned softly while combing her hair absentmindedly. She hummed in response. The moment we arrived here in our three-bedroom house, I immediately organized and decorated Eri's room. It's now afternoon and I'm glad that there will only be a few boxes left for me. Because today is a Friday, Shouta will move his belongings here tomorrow.
To be quite honest, I am nervous to be living under one roof. But, I keep on telling myself that Eri is the reason why we're here and she's our top priority. I can just seduce Shouta if I can see the opportunity. Tehee.
That's right; the universe is bringing us together so I should not waste this chance. I can still remember my weak ass resolve a few weeks ago after being hopeless. Now that finally, I had some action albeit it is a little improvement, it still brought back the old me- the perverted-thinking and determined Y/N!
A tug on my shirt brought me out of my reverie. "L/N-san, I already chose something for you. I'll take your picture,"
She stood up from my lap and faced me. Her hand is extending towards me, "Smiiiiile~"
I smiled with a peace sign near my face. Her little chortles made me eye her suspiciously. "Let me see," I requested but she hid the iPad behind her and stepped back.
"You made me ugly, didn't you?" I was only answered by her now full-on laughter and I made a step to get the iPad from her. However, the off white-haired girl only ran away from me.
"Oh, you're so on, sweetie! Don't let me catch you," I warned in a sing-song voice and the squeal that came from her makes me laugh.
If I'd tell someone that a few weeks ago this girl doesn't even know how to smile, they would think I'd be lying. She has come so far from the reserved little girl that we first met. She can now smile and laugh easily even in the smallest of things. If there's one thing that makes her even beautiful is how her eyes would light up and widen with astonishment when she sees something that amazes her.
