It was during breakfast when I first saw it- a lizard with its tail cut off. Suddenly, an idea popped in my mind that I immediately tugged the sleeve of Shouta's shirt. The latter looked at me and when he noticed where I'm looking, I'm pretty sure he got my message.

"Eri-chan," I called the attention of the girl who is happily munching on her rolled-up omelet. I motioned her to come over and she sprung out of her chair leaving her food. She stood in front of me looking adorable with her big questioning eyes.

"There's something I'd like you to try for your quirk. Would that be okay?" we waited for a few bated breaths before she finally nodded.

"I'm scared L/N-san. But I have to do this for Lemillion-san! I-I want to help too!" her eyes teared up a bit as she held her clenched fist in front of her chest.

Shouta patted the girl's head which made the girl turn to him, "look who's the hero now. Don't worry, Eri-chan. If your quirk becomes too much for you, I'll make sure to stop it so you can practice with everything you've got."

The girl raised her pinkie to the man and whispered, "promise?"

Shouta ruffled her hair before connecting his pinkie to hers, "I promise."

My heart couldn't handle all of this fluff so early in the morning! Look at that special smile Shouta has for Eri. Ah, he'd make a great father someday. Being with Eri, on the other hand, elicits a different kind of gentleness from him. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to witness this on a daily basis.

Eri beamed at Shouta so bright I wonder if he'd gone blind. The little girl then bounded towards me taking my hand; signifying that she's ready. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek because she's looking cute being all happy and determined. Her little giggles flooded our one-storey home filling it with warmth.

I took her by the hand and crouched when we are in front of the lizard. Luckily, it didn't sashayed away when it saw us. Before it has the chance though, I immediately caught it in my palm.

"See here sweetie, its tail is cut off right?" she nodded, "I want you to rewind its tail back," I instructed.

She shut her eyes and clenched her fist, eliciting a strange sound like being constipated. I suppressed my chuckle not wanting to discourage her but she absolutely looks adorable. Oh! My heart!

A few seconds later, she stopped and sighed. She turned to me with a pout and sad eyes.

"I can't do it." she said and I shook my head.

"Of course you can, love. You feel tingles on your horn when your quirk is activated, right? How about you visualize those tingles like electricity?"

She again closed her eyes. Somehow, her aura changed like this time she'll do everything to make this right. After a few seconds, I saw little sparks from her horn just like that day when we saved her.

"Okay, now imagine that electricity traveling down your head then to your arms and eventually your fingertips. When you're ready, touch the lizard," I instructed still observing her.

It took her quite a few moments before she opens her eyes and reached out for the lizard. It seems that I stopped breathing as her hand made contact with the reptile.

I watched in amazement as the tail of the lizard started to grow back. I looked at Eri to see her smiling a bit. She pulled her hand back and I let the little guy go. I was about to pat her head for a job well done when I noticed that her quirk's still activated.

"Shouta," I called.

"I know," instantly the electricity surrounding Eri is gone and the girl collapsed. Alarmed, I went to her side and caught her. Shouta stopped using his quirk when we hear little snores from her.
