It was a month since the wedding- one blissful month. You can't help but sigh happily when you thought about your wedding night. Damn, that was... let's just say that Shouta has to pay reimbursements from a broken bed, couch, and lamps. Hey, we've been longing for each other for such a long time that we just can't help it if we break some things here and there.

Nemuri-senpai promised to take care of Eri for a week so Shouta and I can have our little merry-making- if you know what I mean. It's a shame that we didn't have a proper honeymoon because of work, but he promised me that we'll go somewhere during the golden week.

So much has happened in this one month. In the second week, we received a call about Eri's grandfather passing away. We accompanied her to his funeral but the girl did not show any emotions of familiarity at that time. We then realized that the old man did not spend time with Eri before Overhaul put him in a coma.

Since Eri has no family left, Shouta and I pushed through with the petition for adoption. The child services having been supervising us since we became Eri's unofficial guardians were helping us in the process. It was gruesome and exhausting but it is all worth it if it means Eri will be ours.

In the next three weeks, we have been called for various court hearings where we are extremely scrutinized by the judge for our eligibility to be parents. Our backgrounds were examined, and basically, everything about our lives was told. Since Eri has been staying with us for more than six months, the judge allowed us to skip the whole trial custody.

The trial custody gives the adopter trial custody of the adoptee for at least six months within which the parties are expected to adjust psychologically and emotionally to each other and establish a bonding relationship. Only the child and home reports were needed by the judge and the child services were happy to provide them.

And so, today is the day of our final hearing. The courts need all parties present which includes me, Shouta, and Eri. This day will decide whether Eri will be allowed to be our child. Although the child services and our friends have supported and reassured us that the adoption is going well, I can't help but feel anxious. It would've been great to have our friends in the hearing as well but today is a weekday and there's only so much the school can excuse.

"Hey,"

I turned around to find Shouta leaning on the doorway.

"Hey there. You're looking as sexy as hell," I teased as I trailed my eyes from head to toe. He is wearing the suit he wore at our wedding. He said that he'll be committing to be Eri's father so he got to look his best. I'm telling you that Aizawa Shouta doesn't do things half-assed and that's why I love him even more.

Stepping in front of him, he snaked his hands on my waist and me on his neck. My eyes automatically snapped shut when his lips touched my forehead. His intoxicating manly smell reached my nose when he suddenly hugged me tightly.

"Relax, today will be a good one," he reassures me.

"I know. It's just... I can't help it. I don't know what I'll do if..." before I can continue, he pushed me gently off him.

"Let's not go there, alright? Have faith in your matching dresses. Once the judge sees it, whatever hesitations he has will immediately go away."

My laughter brimmed after he said that. Nemuri gifted Eri and me matching custom-made dresses. Since she can't attend the hearing, she says that her gift will be her form of support. Even Hizashi gave us a cake last night. All Might insist on us to accept money so we can celebrate as a family in a restaurant or something. The kids from 1-A, as well as Mirio-kun and friends, are planning to throw a party. Recalling all of these people's supports calmed my nerves down.
