"Congratulations once again, Mr. and Mrs. Aizawa," Sukuna-san greeted with a wide smile while taking turns in shaking our hands.
"No, it's also thanks to you," I responded merrily.
The lawyer waved his hand as if saying that it's nothing. He then crouched down to Eri's height and patted her head a few times.
"You now have a wonderful mom and dad," he says but the girl only hid behind Shouta, clutching at his pant leg.
This made me laugh awkwardly to diffuse the unexpected tension that arose. The lawyer must have also sensed something wrong so he excused himself.
"Thank you very much again, Sukuna-san," I muttered as we bid goodbye. Shouta looked at me questioningly while pointing his lips in Eri's direction. I shrugged my shoulders indicating that I have no idea what's going on in her mind.
He grasped her hand in his and proceeded to put her in her car seat while I sat on the passenger's seat. It didn't take long before we are on the road. I looked at my wristwatch and noticed that it's still noon. Right, it's perfect to have lunch.
"Say, Eri-chan, where do you want to eat for lunch?" I questioned while turning my head to look at her.
Her wide-eyed rubies stared back at me silently. This is becoming strange. Something is definitely wrong because she never acted this way. Is she not happy with something? But she did say she wants to be with us earlier. There's something she's afraid to talk about and I want to know. However, I think it is best to let her be for now.
I reached out to squeeze her leg, "do you want to eat at the cat café Shouta frequently visits?" Upon hearing cats, I noticed her perk up.
"It's the cat café, papa," I let my husband know with a cheery grin. He turned his gaze at me for a second before smiling on his own.
"Sure do, mama."
Ehhhh! It's not fair how he just gave me butterflies without even trying. I looked back at Eri to see the faintest smile on her face. Small progress is still progress.

Entering the establishment, the first thing that welcomed us is a humanoid with six arms in a suit. It is not the usual cutesy type of café. The decors are minimalist and bright. It's actually relaxing especially with cats around. But then again, Shouta would not even come back if the place is way too frilly and cutesy.
"Aizawa, my man! It's been a while! Finally brought your family, huh," the man greeted my husband boisterously with open arms.
Shouta grabbed his hand and did a man-hug or whatever. Eri squished herself next to me and I patted her head in reassurance. After a few more greetings, Shouta grabbed Eri and me beside him.
"This is my wife, Y/N," he said while pointing at me. "That is Takobe. He's basically the mastermind behind this café," he introduced the man.
"Takobe? Oh, is it fine to call you Takobe too? It sounds really familiar," I said while shaking hands with him.
"Octoid might ring a bell, Virtual," he says teasingly. My eyes widened upon hearing the name as memories from the past resurfaced.
"Oh my gosh, no!" I gaped in disbelief. "You were the next-level villain Octoid?! Gosh, I almost ended you hadn't you ran away."
He only laughed, "well thanks to our fight, I think that started to get the Trigger out of my system. Takobe's fine. Anyway, enough of my dark past. Who is this adorable little kitten?" his attention snapped to Eri and it is apparent that he's smitten with our girl instantly. I mean, who wouldn't?
