Sick

Summary: Viper is sick and Allumos and Kay try to help him with his sickness.

The bright shine of light from the lamp lit up the book, Viper placed his glasses down and sighed in frustration and stress. He coughed as a bit of dust came up to him. I should take a break. He thought to himself the nice, cold breeze from the open window made him go outside in the winter air.

The stars glistened in the sky and the moon's reflection on the world made it more calming, Viper could feel shivers go down his spine as he take a step further away from his warm home. Am I going crazy? Or do I like the cold against my skin.. Viper sighed and felt his head, it was pounding like an animal wanting to go out of it's cage. He grabbed his scarf, which was his only use of warmth, and put it up to his nose and mouth.

"I should've stayed at home." Viper sighed and could no longer see his home in the distance, he would follow the path back home but he decided to stay out. He could feel the cold going through his bones up and down, is he crazy?

He sat beside a lake leaning his back against a lamp post, every few minutes looking at the reflection of the moon in the calm water. There were no sense of wild life except for the sound frogs croaking and cockroaches. He stayed like that for a few minutes before a type of hotness got to his head, but he was still cold everywhere else. Fever.

He stood up quickly and walked all the way back to the house, the cold made him limp every few minutes so he decided to walk instead of run, so he doesn't trip.

He entered the household and felt the nice warm breeze settle into his body, relieved he finally made it before it getting possible worse. He grabbed a thin blanket - as it was closest to the door - and laid on the couch. Snuggling up with himself and grabbing any sense warmth he could.

"Viper~!" The familiar voice awoke the sleeping man from his sleep and he immediately regretted sitting up to fast. He felt his head and felt get only a bit better.

"You alright Viper?" Viper opened his eyes to see both Allumos and Kay over him and giving off a worried look. Viper shook his head and laid back down snuggling with the blanket, Kay felt Viper's forehead and pulled away from it right after.

"He's burning up! I think Viper has a fever, quick give me the medicine and wet, cold cloth." Kay quickly instructed Allumos and he got to it straight away. "Are you feeling ok Viper?" Kay asked her voice filled with worry. Viper nodded and gave a quick smile at her kindness.

"I've got them, Kay." Allumos said whale giving Kay the stuff. Kay replaced Viper's thin blanket with a thick blanket, carefully made him sit up and take the medicine and put the wet cloth on Viper's forehead. "You seem pretty good at this." Allumos added, giving Kay a compliment at her medical skills. Kay chuckled and sighed after.

"I'm no professional, I just know how to do the basics. My family usually got sick so I had to take care of them, I just learned along the way, and I guess it stuck with me." Allumos smiled softly and had to leave, he told the guild that Viper needs to take a few days off because o this sickness.

|~|Like 2 days later|~|

"Viper~!" Is always how the day starts for Viper, "Are you feeling better?" Kay asked putting the basket beside the couch. Viper nodded as a short reply as his voice was still a little dry.

"Here you go mate, drink some water also with your medicine." Allumos said grabbing a glass of water, Viper took a sip and also swallowed his medicine. Viper clears his throat and gives Kay a hug suddenly.

"What's this? Why are you suddenly being affectionate?" Kay blushed as she hugged back at the larger man, Viper mumbled something which no one could hear and Allumos quickly stepped out of the room to see it through the windows creepily.

"Kay... I love you."

"Eh?! Hang on Viper." Viper backed away from the hug but their faces were still pretty close. Kay flushed a bright red and looked away from Viper's face.

"Do you like me too?" Viper asked, which made Kay a bit flustered but she finally had enough courage to do it. Kay connected their lips and it didn't take long for Viper to respond back, dominating the shorter. They both pulled away breathing in and out in need of air.

"Does that answer your question?" Kay chuckled as Viper nods and kisses Kay again but more softly. They both hug and cuddle for the rest of the day.

Allumos quietly sneaks away with the pictures and brings them back to the guild for them to see. What a man.
