When The Game Ends

A/N: The title was originally supposed to be: 'We Won't See Each Other In The Real World, But I'll Be Waiting In Another Life' but it's way too long lmao.

Summary: Cypher is only a NPC. He's not someone who can be taken to the real world. So, when they complete the 100th floor, Cypher is saddened by the fact that he won't be able to join them back in the real world.

Cypher knows he is a NPC. He knew ever since the 37th floor, but since he has such a horrible memory he never got around to spilling the beans, as they say. So, now that the Rising Order and the others have finally completed the 100th floor, they are allowed to leave and live the rest of their lives.

Though, what about Cypher? They're just going to leave him behind? Oh right, he was just a NPC that was installed into the game last second to help them complete the game. The male almost felt a little jealous, was that right?

"You guys did it." The two coloured hair male finally spoke. His words were hesitant and full of sorrow, "You completed the game. I hope we get to see each other in another life." 

Alexa stared at the rare expression of sorrow on the always happy and energetic boy, "What are you talking about, Cypher? Let's leave together." He responds.

Tezachi was about to leave, about to hit the quit button, until he heard Cypher's words and Alexa's hesitancy. He didn't want to stay in the game for one more second, but his gut was telling him he had to stay.

"I can't. I have to stay here, because quitting isn't something I can't do." The male smiled pitifully at himself. Alexa pursed his lips as Venom, who was keen on ignoring Cypher, turned around and stared at the male, who he found quite annoying, with an incredulous look.

"Of course you can, if you stay here any longer you're avatar will destroy along with the game, causing your death." Venom replies, his tone hurried and annoyed. Alexa nodded with the purple male's statement, knowing very well that they couldn't stay in the game for much longer.

Cypher looked at his hands, seeing them glitch out quickly. He wanted to cry, oh how desperately he wanted to cry, but emotions were quite limited for him. He looked up at the group that were waiting for everyone to leave first with a look of remorse.

"My purpose in this journey was only to aid you as you would complete the game," Cypher's smile wavered as he felt his lips tremble, "It was nice knowing you guys."

"Cypher, what the hell are you talking about? We can't leave you here to die!" Credell's voice was desperate, they didn't want to stay any longer, but they really didn't want to leave anyone behind. The only people they'd be leaving behind are the NPCs who can't leave because they have no conscious.

Cypher smiled pitifully once again, Alexa absolutely resented that expression on such a happy boy. 

"But you'll have to, sorry... for getting so attached." He apologised, the male wanted to seem monotone, but anyone could detect the sadness in his voice, "You guys should leave now. The game is corrupting quickly, and will be wiped out in a few minutes."

The boy seemed so knowledgeable in front of them. Their expression changed quickly when they saw and heard that the game was definitely corrupting quickly within itself faster than expected.

"Mallory! Quickly, quit the game! Leave us." Mai spoke in a rush, she held onto the girl tightly but loosely let go when she looked down at the child.

"But-"

"I'll log out right after you." 

Mallory bit her lips but didn't want to protest longer, she opened up her main menu and hesitantly pressed the quit the game button.
