Another request from the lovely NocturnalMundane ! I hope I portrayed MS as accurately as possible. Also, due to this being written in Robert's point of view and dedicated to a female relative of NocturnalMundane , I used she/her pronouns.

Robert had been at Y/N's bedside since she had collapsed in his arms nearly an hour before. He hadn't seen anything like it, her legs had just stiffened up until she could no longer support her own weight. Robert was quick to catch her, arms outstretching on impulse with a sharp intake of breath.

They had been taking their morning tea together. Everything had been quiet. Normal. Y/N was
sleepily draped over her cup, taking slow sips. Robert, as always, was more energetic and admired her from their short distance apart.

Y/N's hair was tangled with sleep and adorably scruffy. Robert couldn't wait until they finished breakfast and headed outside for their morning walk. The weather had been beautiful and Robert was excited to lead Y/N down all his favorite trail paths.

It would be peaceful and romantic and just them.

But Y/N had rose from her chair to fill her cup back up, and that's when she had gotten shaky. Robert scrambled to his feet and grabbed ahold of her just in time. The teacup that Y/N had been holding unfortunately didn't make it and came crashing to the floor.

Not knowing what else to do, Robert scooped her up bridal style and dashed upstairs with her. He muttered gentle words to Y/N the whole way, holding her tight against his chest should she find a way out of his arms.

"What – What's wrong?" She mumbled, squirming. "Robert, I'm fine, put me down."

Robert tried to calm her down, lying her to rest on the bed. She sat up on impulse, gripping his arms and trying to get free.

"Robert –"

"Y/N, something – something happened. I don't want you on your feet," he tried to explain, smoothing her hair back and feeling her forehead as if, by some miracle, Y/N would just have the flu. "How do you feel?"

Y/N was fluttering her eyes now, fingers going to press against her temples. It was like she had a headache, but... stranger. Robert hadn't ever seen her so out of sorts before. The not knowing was worrying him to death.

When Y/N still didn't answer, Robert cupped her face, thumbs rubbing soft circles on her cheeks. "Talk to me, love. Do I need to call the hospital?"

"I don't... my head hurts..." she mumbled, all of the words slurring together.

Robert had made up his mind already, halfway across the room to dial the number. He was so nervous that his fingers slipped on the dial several times before successfully putting in the number. Each ring felt like eternity as Robert watched
Y/N moan in pain from the bed.

The bed that they had made for each other – their safe space. Robert would never see it the same way again.

He informed the hospital of the situation and agreed to drive himself and Y/N over, not wanting her to stress over an ambulance. They were the only ones who knew the way into their neck of the woods. It would likely take all day for the EMS workers to track them down.
