Chapter 22
The Training
'Forget a glass of warm milk and an aspirin,' Tenashiuta mentally groaned, 'I need the whole gallon and a few full bottles.'
Kiba seemed intent of insulting Naruto as much as possible. It was easy to tell that he was getting on Naruto's last nerve. He got knocked down again and groaned loudly. It almost looked as if he wouldn't get uup this time.
"Naruto!" Tenashiuta called just loud enough for him to hear. His head snapped around to look at her with wide eyes from the ground. She smiled at him wearily. His eyes popped. "You can do it!" she cheered in her own way. "Don't give up on yourself!"
Determination found its way into Naruto's eyes almost immediately. He forced himself to his feet, stumbling a bit but staying upright. He turned to Kiba and made a plus sign with his pointer fingers. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" he yelled, causing several other hims to appear beside him.
A smile slipped sneakily past Tenashiuta's defenses and spread across her face. 'Naru-kun...'
"ASHI'S GOT A BOYFRIEND!" She spun around to the source of the obnoxious voice and her fist shot out. Everyone present winced as Doragon hit the ground, sinking into a crater.
A glare knitted her eyebrows together. "Shut up," came the irritated order.
Doragon gulped. "Yes, Ma'am." he whispered fearfully. Content she had made her mark, Tenashiuta turned back to the fight.
"And the winner is Naruto Uzumaki!"
A look of hatred, rage, and murderous intent flashed onto her face. Doragon's eyes widened and he began to back up. Too late. She spun around with a purpose and slammed her tight fist into his face, sending him flying. He ricocheted off a wall and skidded to a stop on the ground. Where he had slid, a long crater led to a giant one where he had come to rest. She faintly overheard someone say, "Ooh, that's gotta sting."
Naruto ran up to the raising to see Tenashiuta, but she wasn't there. He looked around for her, bewildered, but it was too late. She dropped down behind him from her spot a bit higher up. "You did quite well, Naru-kun." He spun around to face her. "Do you know where I can find a gallon of warm milk and some aspirin?" she asked hopefully.
A sweatdrop slid down his face. "Uh... Thanks? And no, I don't." He unknowingly crushed her hopes while simoultainiously giving her another, worse headache. She grumbled under her breath and walked away with her fingers rubbing her temples lightly. He watched her go in confusion.
Tenashiuta sat down on the floor hard, leaning back into the wall with a weary sigh. She set her head back and closed her eyes, shifting slightly. She was going to begin to hum while she waited, when a burst of chakra upset her, sending her reeling into sleep.

"No!" a little girl cried, falling to her knees in front of a masked figure. "Not her! I couldn't find it, take me instead!" The sadistic man chuckled lowly at the girl's desperate attempts. He was going to enjoy this.
"Don't!" a gasping voice called. The girl spun around sharply to see another girl, about two years younger. A glint in her hands. The girl's eyes widened and she scrambled forwards.
"No!" she screamed, but the man stepped on her ankle hard, stopping her movement. "Not too late!" she yelled, trying to wriggle out and get to the other girl. She was helpless. Tears streamed down her face.
The glint raised. The man responded to her higher efforts by stepping down harder. She gasped in pain as her ankle broke and he leaned down. His gloved hand grabbed her hair and forced her to look at the other girl, glint there. The glint was steadied on the plain wall.
