Tenashiuta, once again, flew up to the academy. She landed behind a tree and released distortion. Her wings slid into her skin painfully as she stepped out and walked towards the academy. She trudged through the open door and sat down gracefully next to Naruto.

"Ashi-chan!". He exclaimed with a giant grin on his face. "You're barely in time for the graduation exam!"

Ashi cracked a smile so small that not even she detected it. "I know." she said simply. "I... overslept."

Last night and all until several minutes ago she had been training. She had added a new teqnique for the first time in ages. It was called distortion: version two. She had several versions of most of her abilities- though sonic edge had the most. It was when varying glowing blades appeared from her hands.

She had a feeling this wouldn't be her last alibi- or her last close call. She was barely able to wash off the dirt and blood all over her and wrap her injuries in time to make it.

As if to prove how little time she'd had, Iruka walked in at that very moment. He stood at the front of the class and announced, "When I call your name, head into the next room over to take your test. The test will be on the clone jutsu."

Tenashiuta glanced over at Naruto to see him sink into his seat with a defeated look. 'Not his best jutsu, apparently.'

Iruka cleared his throat and read from a paper; "Shino Abrume(sp?)."

Ashi waited patiently- a gift she had gotten from death- until she heard her name. She hoisted herself up and walked forward. "Good luck, Ashi-chan!"

"Thank you, Naru-kun." she said back without turning, raising a hand in goodbye. Then she slipped into the next room.

The instant Ashi layed her eyes on Mizuki, she sensed his evil aura. It was dark blue. He smiled falsely at her and said, "Just make two clones and you pass."

Her eyes never left him as she did a handsign. 'CLONES, and TWO, not shadow clones or more than that!' she said in her head.

She made fifty shadow clones. 'DAMMIT!' "I'm sorry let me try that again." Now she made only three normal illusions. 'Phew!'

She was allowed to choose a headband. Finding several colored ones behind the normal navy ones, she chose a pale purple one. She bowed and walked towards the door. Stopping, she turned.

"Don't try anything Mizuki."

And then she was gone.

Ashi left a big, bright note on Naruto's favorite swing that he couldn't miss and headed towards home- a.k.a. a makeshift lean-to that she used until she could sucsessfully create another place to stay- preferrably another dimension where she could train all out. Of coarse, she had already made several other dimensions, but those were all either destroyed or given away now.

"Today I'll focus on making a new one." she muttered. "Kind of like my last one."
