Chapter Nine - The Epic Fight

3rd person's POV

Zabuza's clone made the first move. He ran at Tenashiuta and swung his sword. Tenashiuta easily ducked the blade and swung her fists. The clone was hit and went flying back. He landed on his feet, only to turn into water as he was skewered by Tenashiuta from behind.

Three other clones ran at her. She neatly frontflipped over them, beheading one in the process and then kicking another one away. They both burst into water. The last one managed to nick a bit of her shoe as she spun around, neatly cutting him in half.

With a grunt, Zabuza made a clone to hold the water dome, jumping at Tenashiuta. Kakashi yelled at her to run as he swung his sword at her stomach. Tenashiuta quickly blocked it with both of her sonic edges, twirled in the air using his sword as leverage, and disarmed him in one fluid jerk. She pushed off of him , grabbed his sword, and slammed it into the ground so that she swang back onto her feet.

She abandoned the sword as she bolted at Zabuza so quickly that he was forced to dive into the water to escape her. She flipped in midair, jackknived off a tree, and drilled into the water.

For a few minutes, neither reserfaced, anf Kakashi was getting worried when they both shot out of the water. Zabuza was cut up and bleeding badly, and Tenashiuta had a single scratch on her finger.

"Hm." Tenashiuta looked at her finger. "I think I got a papercut."

Zabuza growled, then leapt back to land. He looked for Tenashiuta, but she was gone. Suddenly, he went flying forward, into a tree. He hit the tree, and then...

...two needles pierced his neck.

He fell to the ground. Tenashiuta narrowed her eyes as a boy came out of the trees. A state of apparant death, hm? That kid's good. And his name... Haku. She inwardly smirked after probing his mind.

He turned towards her just as her stoic expression took over her face again. "Thank you for providing that distraction. I've been wanting to get at Zabuza for days now."

Naruto ran up. "What the heck!? You... you just took him out like he was nothing!"

Kakashi put an arm in front of Naruto. "Naruto, he's not the enemy."

"As far as I'm concerned..."

Ashi tuned out and walked up to Haku. "You have a bug in your ear." She bent over and whispered in his ear, "You'd better go heal Zabuza before he dies."

She leaned back, turned, and walked away. "Come on. Let's go."

"W-wait! Ashi-chan!" Naruto ran after her, the others close in pursuit. Hake watched her for a few seconds before heeding her advice and leaving with Zabuza.
