Chapter Twelve - Winning him Over

Inari's POV

Ashi-senpai turned to me with sorrow on her face. She opened her mouth and...

"...I had siblings."

I blinked.

"Ten of them. Seven younger sisters and three younger brothers. They were all adopted, as was I, but we were just like real siblings." She took a deep breath and looked up.

"I was confident I was a cool older sister, until that day."

She stopped and said no more for several seconds.

"...And then I lost everything I cared about in Ten Minutes."

She was silent again, gazing into the distance. She snapped out of her trance after a few minutes and looked down at me, smiling sofly. "Inari, I think you're ready."

I looked up at her, confused. Her smile grew and she suddenly shot downwards in a nosedive, arms still wrapped around me.

I yelled again, terror taking the best of me. The trees alarmily grew bigger and, just as we were going to crash, she pulled up and soared over the treetops. My yelp turned into a woop as I grinned. The wind blew against our faces and pulled back our hair. As she came into over the water surrounding our land, she pulled herself upright and skated with her feet on the water, using our speed as momentum.

She slowly lowered me, and I skidded, staying with her. We looped around, heading for shore. Just as we hit shore, Ashi took off again and shot up, this time stopping quickly. Warm air drafts blew past us and she glided.

A few hours after, we swooped down and landed. She put me down and I bounced on my feet. "You've gotta teach me how to do that!"

She smiled. "Sure thing Inari. I'll teach you it, but first, wear this."

She pulled out of her pocket a charm. It was a single wing.

"Angel's Sky Blessing." she said and pinned it to my shirt. "I'll teach you how to use it later. Until then, your mom must be worried about you. Let's go back."

Kakashi's POV

Tsunami continually glanced at the door, worried. Inari and Tenashiuta were gone and she suspected the worst.

Suddenly, the door opened. Our heads all turned and we saw them walk in. Inari was laughing and grinning, and Tenashiuta was ruffling his hair while smiling slightly.

'She Definatly has won his heart already.' I smiled. 'I wonder what is to come of it...? Only time will tell...'
