~Chapter Five: Sunday Funday~

Today Johnny and I kissed, and it was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced! My face felt hot just thinking about it. I was laying in my cot at Buck's, wide-eyed, thinking. I turned over on my side.

"Y/N, you still awake?" Dally asked from his bed.

"Yeah," I replied, snapping out of my daze.

"What were you thinking about?"

"Nothing really,"

"Oh come on, you never toss and turn like this,"

"Just about life, you know?" I said lying.

"Don't be so melancholy," he chuckled. "How did the date go?"

"I mean it wasn't really a date, but it went well other than the fact I missed most of the first movie and ALL of the second movie!" I replied.

"What were you and Johnny doing?" Dally said, I could picture him smiling.

"Your sick, I fell asleep on Johnny's shoulder," I said rolling my eyes.

"Ok good, you and Johnny are way to young for those activities,"

"Dallas Winston, I'm only a year younger than you! When we first met you insisted we head to your room and-" He cut me off.

"I didn't know you were going to punch me! I was looking for some action," he defended himself. "Did you guys hold hands or anything like that?"

"When we fell asleep I was holding his hand and when we went back to Darry's he asked to kiss me and I said yes,"

"Wow, Johnny sure is polite, I wouldn't have asked," Dally replied shocked.

"You are an asshole," I said and laughed. 

"I know," He laughed too.

"Night,"

"Night," he replied.

With that, I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up, got put my bathing suit on and my clothes over top and packed an extra pair of clothes. Today the gang and I were going to the pond to go swimming. It wasn't a very extravagant bathing suit, it was just a plain black bikini. It was a fairly hot day so I didn't need my jacket. 

Dally and I set off to meet the gang at the pond. Darry was making lunch, Dally brought beer in case Darry didn't.

~Ten Minutes Later~

Dally and I arrived at the pond, which was a darker blue colour. It wasn't clear but that didn't bother me. Darry, Pony, Soda, Steve, Johnny and Two-bit waltzed up to us. 

"Hey, guys!" I waved and they waved back.

"Well, are we gonna go swimming or what?" I said taking off my shirt, jeans and shoes. Steve and Two-bit whistled, and Johnny and Pony looked down. I flipped Two-bit and Steve off, Soda chuckled. I walked over to the rope swing that was hung from a tree, took a big swing and did a backflip off. When I came up, the rest of the guys were in the water. Dally picked me up and took me out of the water.

"Winston put me down," He ran into the water with me in his arms. Then a splash war started.

After swimming around and going on the rope swing for a bit, we got out had lunch, which consisted of sandwiches and chocolate cake, and went back in the water. We swam around, had beers and played around until the sunset was golden. 

I wanted to tell Johnny how I felt but the rest of the gang was around. You know what, screw it. I got out of the water and wrapped it around me.

"Johnny, I have something I want to tell you,"

"I do too,"

"You go first," we said at the same time.

"I'll go," He said, "I dig you,"

"Johnny, I dig you too!" I smiled, we got close and before either of us knew it our lips were together. We broke apart, I was blushing. Johnny and I went back to swimming.

It was an amazing day.
