The Morning After

The next morning, I woke up, cuddled up next to Mitch. I was wearing only my underwear and his shirt from last night while he was in just his boxers. I remembered everything, even the fact that we didn't use protection.

And that was what scared me.

I wasn't worried about having a kid. I wasn't even worried about Mitch's reaction. I was just worried about what Adam would think.

He threatened to kill Mitch if he was even in the same bed as me, and then he kicked him out after we broke up. Needless to say, Adam was overprotective.

Mitch was clearly awake, but he didn't know I was up, and I was perfectly fine with that. I closed my eyes again after a while to Mitch softly singing the words to Endstone to me. Eventually, I fell asleep, but it wasn't nearly as peaceful as the previous night's sleep.

*ALEX'S DREAM*

"We've gotta tell him eventually. He's already noticed the bump, I mean, you're almost 12 weeks along," Mitch was saying.

"But Mitch, baby, he'll kill you if he finds out! I can't risk that! Not just for the baby, but for me! If I tell him, I won't have you, and neither will our baby," I sighed.

"I'm going to tell him. I have to."

I chased after him as he went to find Adam, succeeding rather quickly.

"Adam? I need to tell you something," Mitch said before I could stop him. "Alex is pregnant, and it's my kid."

Instead of answering, Adam punched Mitch square in the face. I watched in horror as my brother beat my boyfriend up, to the point where Mitch wasn't even moving. I ran towards him, immediately checking for a heartbeat.

But there was none.

*END OF DREAM*

"Alex! Alex, baby I'm right here! Shhh, you're alright!"

Mitch was holding me in his lap, kissing my forehead while he was calming me.

"But Mitch, I just, you just, I-I'm so scared," I sobbed.

"What happened?"

"I-I was pregnant, and you told Adam, and he beat you up, and when I checked to see if you were alive, y-you weren't..."

"I'm very very much alive right now, okay? You don't have to worry about that for now."

We cuddled for a while longer, neither of us wanting to get up. We probably would've stayed there all day, if it wasn't for Adam.

He got home with Alesa (who was now living with us) at around noon, and Mitch and I were determined to keep our relationship 100% secret from Adam from now on.

As soon as we heard the front door open, the two of us rushed to get actual clothes on, quickly going downstairs. When we got down there, Hannah saw us and immediately insisted she needed to talk to me.

I sighed, following her into the kitchen. She closed the door behind her and broke out into a huge smile, nearly screaming at me.

"You fucked Mitch last night!"

"W-What? Wh-Why would you think that?" I blushed.

"Duh, you're practically glowing. And you haven't stopped smiling. Plus, Tyler and I may or may not have gotten home a bit early last night," She laughed.

"Oh my god I hate you. Look, you just have to swear that you won't tell Adam, okay? We all know what happened to Jason."

"Don't worry, we won't. We love you guys together."

"Speaking of Jason, what happened with him? Did he show up while I was gone?"

"Well, yeah, a lot. The first few times, Juli and Liv had a huge argument over whether or not to let him in. But after a while, Juli was so pissed that she almost killed him, and that's why he doesn't come back. Apparently he's got some bitch instead of Juli now."

"Well shit."

"I know right. But yeah, I just wanted to let you know that we know y'all fucked."

"Gee, thanks."

"No problem bae. Now go cuddle with your Mitchy."

"Mkay," I laughed, going back into the living room.

*-*

Later that night, Mitch and I were playing on the Wii, trying to decide what the winner of our newest bet would get.

"Alright, so when I beat you at Mario Kart, I get 5 kisses," He insisted.

"And when I beat you, I get 10 kisses," I countered.

"Hmm.... Deal," Mitch nodded.

We started the game, playing on rainbow road, as always. I won, which was apparently a huge surprise to Mitch.

"I want a rematch!" He pouted.

"Nope, I won, fair and square," I shook my head.

"Fine then, you don't get your kisses."

"Um excuse me, of course I do."

"Not unless I get a rematch."

"You know what? It's on, Hughes."
