So That's the Surprise...

*THE NEXT DAY*

*Mitch's POV*

"Alright, you ready Sammy?" I asked, smoothing out my button up shirt.

"Yeah, I'll go get her," She said, hurrying up to Alex's room.

*Alex's POV*

"What do you want Sammy?" I whined, rubbing my head.

"Remember that surprise I was talking about? You can have it now," She said.

"Really?" I asked, sitting up.

"Yeah. But you've gotta dress nice. And I don't mean jeans, I mean dressy."

"Ugh, fine. I'll be down in 5."

*Mitch's POV*

5 minutes later, she walked down the steps.

I smiled at the sight of her, but the second she saw me, the excited smile she wore disappeared.

"Why is he here?" She asked Sammy.

"Because I.... I still love you," I answered, my smile fading.

"Yeah, sure. You still love me, even after you broke my heart and then made out with some blonde bimbo in front of me," She scoffed.

"Alex.... I'm sorry. I fucked up. You should've heard me that night. I was pissed, and not at anyone but myself. Adam didn't even kick me out, I kicked myself out. I'm sorry. I know I broke your heart, and I want to make it up to you," I told her.

"Mitch.... I don't know what to say."

"Say you still love me. Say you forgive me. God, Alex, please, just say you forgive me."

She sighed, looking away from me.

"Give me a second chance. Just one more chance."

"I.... I guess. You have 2 hours."

I smiled, taking her hand and bringing her out to the backyard.

*Alex's POV*

I had to give him a second chance. If I didn't, I wouldn't have ever forgiven myself.

When we got out to the backyard, I gasped.

"You.... You didn't have to," I smiled.

He had somehow set up the backyard the exact same way he had on our first date. Beside You was playing, there were 2 boxes of pizza sitting by the pool, and there were a couple cans of coke too.

"I didn't have to, but I wanted to," He said, bringing me over to sit by the pool.

When the song ended, I heard another song start.

"Six Feet Under The Stars? Cheesy much?" I said, unable to stop the huge smile on my face.

"Hey, I made a whole playlist of ,your favourite bands, you can shut up," Mitch laughed.

"Well, this is pretty great," I told him.

We laid out there for the rest of the night, until Sammy told us Adam was looking for me.

"At least this time we finished the pizza," Mitch laughed, helping me up. We threw the trash away and said goodbye.

Right before he left, I gave him a quick kiss, simply out of habit.

I'm not gonna lie, I missed him.
