Midnight Memories

(YES I HAD TO DO THAT WITH THE TITLE OKAY IM SORRY)

*Alex's POV*

I looked at my iPod again. 11:45.

Almost time.

I pulled on a pair of converse and a hoodie, then I put in my headphones and sat by the door.

The second that my iPod said it was midnight, I ran downstairs and out the back door.

The first thing that I noticed was that there was a 5SOS song on, more importantly, Beside You.

There were candles around the pool and rose petals scattered everywhere.

The one thing I didn't see was Mitch.

Then I noticed a note on one of the tables.

"Like the song? Follow the noise. :) -M"

I followed the sound, humming along to the song as I did so.

Behind a chair, there was a speaker and another note.

"Turn around. :) -M"

I turned around to see Mitch smirking with his hands in his pockets.

I ran up to him and hugged him as tight as I possibly could.

"I missed you," I mumbled into his chest.

"I missed you, too," He said into my hair.

We hugged for a bit longer until Mitch said he had a surprise.

"What is it?" I asked.

Mitch took my hand and we walked to where there was a blanket and 2 boxes of pizza by the pool.

I laughed and sat down opposite of Mitch.

"You like?" He asked.

"I love," I said, giggling.

"Since when do you giggle?" Mitch asked, faking astonishment.

"You obviously haven't seen me fangirl," I said, somewhat seriously.

"I haven't seen it, but trust me, I've heard it," Mitch said, referring to the many times I had called him, screaming about One Direction or 5 Seconds of Summer.

I sat there, smiling at him, probably like an idiot.

"You're doing the thing again," Mitch said, smiling.

"What thing?" I asked.

"Being cute," Mitch replied.

I blushed, looking down.

"You know, you're adorable," Mitch said.

"So are you," I said, looking back up at him.

We ate the pizza and talked for about an hour, until we heard someone yelling from inside the house.

"WHERE THE HELL IS MY SISTER? AND WHY ISN'T MITCH HERE EITHER?!?" Adam yelled.

I looked at Mitch, my eyes wide.

"Go inside and say you were getting food, I got this, you go," Mitch whispered.

"But, Mitch," I started.

"No, just go," Mitch said.

I nodded and ran into the house. I opened the fridge and got some milk, then I pretended to look for cookies.

"Alex, what are you doing? Have you seen Mitch?" Adam asked, angrily.

"I'm looking for cookies, and no, why?" I said, as innocently as possible.

"Top left cabnet. And because he's not in his room," Adam answered, not nearly as angry.

I grabbed the cookies and shrugged as I began to walk back up the steps.

"Alex, wait!" Adam called from behind me. "Here, you can have this back."

He handed me my phone.

Did he finally trust me again?
