"I Swear..."

*Mitch's POV*

I was editing videos in my room when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," I said, expecting it to be Alex.

Instead, Adam walked in and said that we needed to talk.

"Um, okay, what about?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"The... rules about dating my sister. If you want to date her, there are some guidelines you have to follow," Adam said firmly.

"And what would those be?"

"First off, no sleeping together at all for any reason ever. Second, don't do anything stupid. Third, don't lie to her unless it's for her own good. Fourth, if you hurt her at all, I swear I will hunt you down and kill you. Fifth, if you break her heart, you're leaving this house. Finally, if I ever hear that you broke any of these rules, you will never see Alex ever again. Are we clear?" Adam said.

"Y-Yes, sir," I said. I had never been this scared of Adam in my entire life. "So I am allowed to ask her out?"

"Yes, but anything farther than that goes past me first."

"Alright."

"Now, go make my sister's day," Adam said smiling.

"Thanks, man," I said, walking out of my room. Alex was still in the kitchen, clearly unaware as to where anything was.

"Hey, Alex," I said, coming from behind her.

"Hey, Mitch. What's up?" She asked.

"I have a question for you. Would you like to go out for dinner tonight? Just you and me?" I asked calmly.

"I'd love to, but in order for me to do that, I kinda need to know where my room is..." She said.

"Oh, right. Here, let me show you around," I said, grabbing her two suitcases.

I gave her the grand tour of the house, waiting to show the bedrooms for last.

"Here is my room, Jerome's is across the hall, Adam's is next to Jerome's and yours is next to mine," I said, bringing her things into her room.

She examined the poster-covered purple walls, mouth wide open.

"Green Day, The Summer Set, Boys Like Girls, One Direction, and where on EARTH did you find 5 Seconds of Summer posters?!?" Alex said, smiling.

"eBay," I said, scratching my neck.

"And the black carpet is sick! Not to mention this bed spread!" She said, sitting on her bed with the black and purple graphic comforter.

"Only the best for the best," I said. Adam had let me decorate her room, saying that I knew Alex best. He gave me $300 to spend and I spent about $100 of my own.

"Mitch, I'm not the best, but whatever. Help me unpack!" Alex said, opening the black dresser.

An hour later all of her stuff was put away. She didn't have much, and I knew it was because she had bought all of it herself. She barely had enough money to get a cell phone, so she only had a flip phone.

That was my new goal, I had decided. I was going to get her a laptop and an iPhone, even if it killed me.

I immediately walked to Adam's room, knocking on the door.

"It's open," Adam said.

I walked in to see him watching TV. He paused it and asked, "What's up?"

"We've gotta get Alex a better phone. And a laptop. I know she plays Minecraft, don't even try to say she doesn't. I kinda wanna record with her, which requires her having her own laptop. And a phone, now that's a must," I said to Adam.

"Alright, are we gonna surprise her or take her with us to get them?"

"I'm taking her to dinner tonight, you and the guys can get her them while we're out. Try to stay around the whole purple and black theme, she loves it, especially her room."

"I noticed the posters, nice selection, by the way."

"Thanks. So are we good?"

"Yep, I'll get Jerome and Brice to come and help, too. When are you guys leaving?"

"Around 6:30. I've gotta go tell her to get ready," I said, noticing the time.

It was six, and I needed to get ready and so did she. I told her when we were leaving and I went to get ready. I wore dark jeans and my POSH shirt.

She walked out of her room as I left mine.

She was stunning. She had on dark skinny jeans and a band t-shirt. She was also wearing a 5SOS beanie, which just so happened to match her shirt.

Might not seem like much, but it made her look so gorgeous.

Her brownish-red hair was straightened and she wasn't wearing any makeup, as usual.

"Yo, eyes up here. You look great, too," She said, giggling.

"Thanks. So, I'm going to take you out for dinner and then we'll go around town, okay?" I said.

"That sounds great," she said, smiling. She grabbed my hand and we walked to my car.
