In my heart, in my soul
As we stare into the unknown,
There's no race we can't face
We have done this all before.

During the struggles, we kept our cool
Content to change ourselves to new,
The world was in a daze
And yet we stood unfazed,
Empathy ruled true.

Reaching out through the silence
When we only heard voices,
Comforting those in need
Love had never been spent so free,
Distancing away, we were gay
Saving our world, day by day.

We encountered fear, with calm
Refused to bow down to the storm,
Sacrifices galore, and we showed courage more
Compassion was at its forte.

Our dreams are all we have
As we look the future in the eye,
Like always, faith leads the way
When in doubt, we stand brave,
Doubling our efforts in pursuit of our goals
Never give up, just one more try,
Till we achieve our heartfelt desires.
