Courage takes a lot of energy, constantly
In trying to prove the best we can be.
Growth takes a lot of I-don't-care-a-damn
In learning to be the best we can.
Sacrifices take a toll, mentally
Muffling the inner child inside me.
Aspirations take a lot of sweat and grime
In keeping up with the dreams sublime.
Motivations take a lot of smile
In trying to live lives in one life.
