Penelope's POV
I love my father, I truly do but when my mother passed away from breast cancer, my father started racking up a large debt that he couldn't pay back, he was getting himself further and further into debt. I am a preschool teacher for children with special needs, this was always a passion of mine. As of lately I have had to give him my checks to help try and pay these debts off. But I have this feeling he isn't using them for what he claims to be needing them for.
I was in a relationship once with someone I thought I was going to marry but it turns out he didn't want to be tied down. I was with my ex boyfriend for 3 years and had no clue he wasn't happy with our relationship or that he needed more. So I never chalked it up to anything. I came home from work one day and I saw my best friend's car at our house that we were sharing together. I thought nothing of it. But I was completely wrong. When I walked inside, I saw the both of them butt naked and going at it. He gave me the whole, baby I'm sorry it was a mistake, we can fix this. I told him absolutely not. Then come to find out that they had been sleeping together for the last 3 years, our entire relationship. So I packed up my things and moved back home with my father.
That was 6 1/2 months ago. I have been putting my all into my children at work and haven't focused on finding a man to try and start dating because I fear that it is going to be the same thing as before. I want my only marriage to be my last one. I won't be made out to be a fool..
