"Where is she?!" Sal growled at a man he held off the floor. "Screw you dragon!" The man laughed as blood dripped from his lips. "Last chance." Sal asked. "Fuck you." He laughed again and Sal didn't hesitate, he ripped the man in half, tossing the pieces aside.
"Lessalyn!" A man held up his hands as Sal pushed through. "I'm on your side." He added. "Where is she?" Sal growled. "Last I heard, she was making her way up here. Kruse knows she is moving, so you better find her. I got this." He took the gun from the dead guy and fired at a man that was shooting at Sal.
"Meet us at the exit on the southside. Delivery exit. You will be spared." Sal said as he tore through a wall, trying to find a way to Ella. She was trapped in this madness somewhere, and he was going to find her.
As he tore through yet another wall, a large wolf came barreling toward him. He took a few steps and braced for impact. "Your little human girl will be dead before you find her." The wolf laughed as his claws ripped into Sal's arm.
Rage filled Sal's veins and a power he never knew he had gave him strength. "I promised my brother I would rip each one of you to shreds, starting now." He grabbed the wolf's head and tore it from his shoulders, tossing the limp body to the side.
"She's near the elevator shaft." The man from earlier ran by as another wolf howled. More gunfire erupted behind him and he hoped his brothers were doing ok. He had heard the laser was fired, and someone was hurt, but he did not have time to worry, he had to find Ella quickly. This house was going to come down with five dragons inside tearing it to shreds, so there was no time to waste.
Around him, dragons fought wolves, and wolves fought wolves. He had no idea how Ella had done this, but she worked with the enemy to cause an uprising and more wolves than he could count were on her side.
Sal had made it to the stairs when a wolf ran past at full speed. "Lessalynn." He called out as he stopped in front of Sal. "Kruse is trying to get to his helicopter on the roof. One of your kind has him pinned, but he was hurt with the laser. He is no match for Kruse alone."
"I have to find Ella." Sal growled. "Ella is safe with our own. We will protect her. She means more to us than you know. We will get her out, you deal with Kruse. None of this will stop while he is alive." The wolf spoke.
"Thank you, brother." Sal nodded to the wolf, then took off back up the stairs and smashed through the front windows, leaping into the air, spreading his wings, and heading to the top of the house.
Sal immediately saw the wolf that could only be Kruse. He was huge, black as night, with teeth that reflected the moonlight. Arcus was fighting him, but he looked to have a damaged wing and blood oozed from his side. Not good.
Sal did not hesitate as he gave a mighty roar and headed talons first into the massive wolf. The wolf's teeth sank into Sal's leg, then his tail, as he flipped the wolf over. He was powerful, and with the wounds Sal already had, the wolf took him off balance and they crashed through the roof into what once was the kitchen. Teeth snapped and Sal fought with all he had against the beast. He would not let him win. Tonight this beast paid for taking Ella.
Ella, Jake and Samuel were almost to the door when a massive wolf stepped up to block their path. "Well, if it isn't the traitors and their little pet." The wolf growled. "Thannus, back off." Samuel growled back.
"And let you three go? Not a chance. Kruse wants all three of you alive. He is going to make her watch you two suffer and die before he kills her." The massive brown wolf took two steps, saliva dripping from his fangs.
Jake moved Ella behind him, but she was not as scared as she thought she should be. "Thannus, please, you need to listen. Ella is special, she has the power of the..." Samuel was cut off by a loud crash of wood and steel breaking and that was the second of distraction Ella needed.
