They walked along the edge of the woods, talking about her childhood and all the things she could think of to tell him about herself. He told her about his childhood, growing up as a shifter and what he had to learn. They talked about the area, and all the things she liked, and he told her of some of the places he would take her that were even more breath-taking than the manor.
By the time they were done with their walk, it was late, and she was getting tired. "Alright, I can clearly see you yawing, and your pace has slowed. I know you are tired." "I am, but I do not want to go home yet." Ella leaned into his side more. He was so warm.
"I will see you tomorrow." He pulled her hand to his lips, pressing slightly with a kiss. "Same time, same place?" "No, I think a proper date is in order. How about I pick you up at say 11:30 and take you into town for a real lunch." He asked, a touch of nervousness to his voice.
"In the daytime?" Ella grinned. "Yes. I think it is time." "I would love that." "Good. Then meet me out front of the manor at 11:30." Olin requested. "I will be there." "I hope so." He kissed her hands again, one at a time, then held them as he looked at her.
"Think I have a chance at winning you over from your dragon now?" His tone was teasing, but it held a touch of uncertainty. "I think you might." "Then I better make the best of tomorrow." "I think you better." He had pulled her in close and was running his fingers down her cheek.
"You know I will never stop until I win." Olin whispered. "I get that feeling." She smiled as his hand laid flush on her check, his fingers wrapping into her hair. It felt so amazing, but something tugged at her heart.
"Olin, please know, the dragon, Ragnar, will always be part of my life, but we are not together, we are just friends. He might actually be my best friend. He understands me and knows me better than I do. I have never done anything crazy with him, but I do kiss his snout, and I am not sure that will ever change. Please understand, that if I do choose you, he is part of the package. He will never cross any lines, or try to steal me away, but he is part of my life." Ella bit her lip as she held her breath.
"And that makes you even sweeter. I would never ask you to part ways with him, or any of your other family here. I would hope that he would always be part of your life." "I hope that too. And thank you for understanding." "I know you love him." "I do, but it does not mean I cannot love you too. I mean with time."
"That is all I ask." "Thank you." She smiled up as she searched the shadow for his eyes. She desperately wanted to see them. Then she felt him shift, his hand sliding into her hair more and he pulled her head towards him as her breath caught and her heart raced. Was he going...
The thought was cut off as his lips hovered in front of hers, hesitating. She wanted to beg but settled for a slight squeeze to his arms where her hands laid. It was all it took as his mouth moved to hers, closing the gap and pressing his lips to hers.
When they say the sky exploded into fireworks at a kiss, that is exactly what happened. Every muscle tensed then released and then every nerve fired at once. Every inch of her skin was covered in goosebumps as his lips brushed over hers.
She had never felt anything like it, and she wanted more as she pulled him closer. His mouth worked over hers as fire grew in her middle. Her hands squeezed his shoulders as his fought in her hair and against her back, pressing her into him.
His tongue pressed for entrance and she opened to him immediately, causing him to let out a moan. Then his chest rumbled against her, and she almost lost her mind as he took her to a whole other level.
Their tongues explored and danced in unison and with it the feeling of need grew to a strong buzz in her head. She wanted him, but not just in that way, in every way possible. She heard his name in her head, then need, and want, and...mate. And as if knowing, Olin intensified the kiss, taking her deeper into him. Words could not even explain what she was feeling, and it was beyond amazing.
