Ella was up early, showered, and dressed in another dress that Liv had given her yesterday. This one was a pale orange with white lace around the edges. It made her feel dainty and small, and she loved it. She paired it with wedges, again from Liv, and pulled her hair up into an updo with some curls. Light make up, simple jewelry, including her dragon pendant, and she was ready, at 7:30 am.
She decided to go find breakfast, and maybe Liv or Nessa to talk to about today and all the things she felt, but as she neared the kitchen, she heard Sal, Allan, and...Olin? Why was he here already?
"I have to tell her." Olin said and Sal agreed. "Do you think you should wait until the bond is stronger?" It was Alan. "After the kiss last night, I am not sure it could be any stronger." Olin explained.
"How does she feel?" Allan asked. "Pretty damn good so far." Olin groaned and Ella's face almost split in two at the sound of Olin's laugh, so she decided to go in.
"Morning Boys." She said, then paused when Olin looked right at her, causing her body to freeze in place. "Good morning Ella." Allan said, but she barely registered it. There only a few feet from her was the gorgeous man that had rocked her world last night, and she wanted him more than anything right at that second.
"Olin. What are you doing here?" She smiled shyly. "I came to talk to Sal and Allan." He looked away from her to Sal. "Well, could I interest you gentleman in an omelet?" She tried to ignore the fact that her body heat had turned up to a 1000 and she wanted nothing more than to run to him and forget the damn eggs.
"That would be sweet of you." Sal gave her a soft smile, which she returned. "Allan, Olin?" "I would love one, thank you." Olin looked down at the island, then to her, and back down. Was he being shy? Oh, this was too much. She purposely brushed her hand against his as she went to the fridge and heard the sharp intake of breath.
"You look beautiful today." Olin whispered. "Thank you." She turned and smiled at him, catching his gaze and froze. She literally stared at him as his amber colored eyes shined in the morning sunlight.
"Why don't I make those omelets and you two...do whatever it is you are doing." Sal laughed. "Amber." She whispered, ignoring Sal, but letting him take the carton of eggs.
"Huh?" Olin visibly swallowed as they continued to stare. "Your eyes are amber." She took the three steps to him and held his face, looking deep in his eyes. Dragon eyes. Amber dragon eyes.
"Olin." She whispered. "Yes." He whispered back. "Your eyes are gorgeous." "Thank you." "But..." She cocked her head and Sal cleared his throat behind her, but she couldn't look away.
"Ella, Olin was just telling me he was taking you to Astonia for lunch. You will love it there. They have a huge flower garden in the back with tables right in the middle. I am sure you can request a table out there. It is supposed to be a beautiful day." Ella barely registered what Sal was saying.
"Flowers?" That got her attention as she turned to Sal but felt drawn to look back at Olin. Something was familiar, too familiar, but she was not sure what. "I should probably go get ready for our date. I look like a mess compared to you. I did not expect to see you this early." Olin smiled, stepping into her space.
"I will be back at 11:30." He leaned down and brushed his lips over hers, before nodding to Sal and Alan and going out of the kitchen and through the front of the house. She was so confused.
"Ella?" Sal touched her arm and she realized she was still staring at the doorway. "Sorry." She shook her head and came to the stove. "I have this, sit down." Ella tried. "Are you ok?" Sal turned her to him. "Yes, I just...his eyes...they..." "He gets that all the time." Sal laughed, but it sounded forced.
