"Have you lost your mind?". She shouted angrily pushing him, "My father is many things but not a murderer".
"He was going to kill our child". He accused angrily
She crosses her hand not fazed by the deadly look in his eyes, "He didn't kill your mother. I am done speaking with you this is ridiculous".
She went to sit on the bed with her hands in her lap trying to think if there were ever signs of somewhere her father doing such a thing but even if he was the worse, he couldn't do that.
"How do you know he didn't do it?". He asked sitting on the couch, "It's not like he will declare it".
"Then how do you know that he did it?. Do you have proof?". She taunted looking at him
"Yes, I do. It was his car that hit my mother car that night". He said angrily, "My father showed me all the proof and your father confessed".
She shakes her head not believing, "Tell me how your mother died".
He took a deep breath, "That night I was supposed to live in my friend's place. My mother went out at late night driving away when a car from the opposite side hit her. Her car was crushed and she didn't survive when she was brought to the hospital".
"What was the date?". She asked hesitating
"26 January". He said frowning watching the colour leaving her face, "It was your father who did it, right?. He was the one, wasn't he?".
She feels her breathing hitched as she places her hand on her chest trying to calm herself down. He immediately moves towards her wrapping his arms around her calming her down.
She continued to lean her head on his chest, "It was my mother. My mother died on 27th January".
She started crying leaving him shocked as he tried to take in the information.
"That night we were coming back together. My mother was very strict when driving, she never speaks and always stays focused on the road. We were in the right lane and I know that we weren't wrong and our car didn't had any fault. It all happened in a minute, we were driving then we saw blinding lights and a car hit our car throwing it off". She started crying even harder, "It was my father car but it was my mother and I who were in it. I clearly remember the officer on the case saying that it was the other driver who wasn't driving right".
He felt everything stop around him. He tried hard to remember the day in the hospital as he was in shock he barely remembered anything that day. All he remembers was his mother body coming out of the operation room wrapped in white cloth which haunted him to this day.
He waited for a very long time crying as he looks at the door to open so he could meet his mother. He doesn't know what happened but all he knows, for now, was that his mother met an accident.
Even his father wasn't here.
The day has changed from 26th to 27th. And he came to know about his mother just an hour ago while he was at his friend's place.
"No. No. She can't go. She cannot leave me here. Save her. Take her back and save her". He heard someone crying
He turned around to find a girl possibly at the same age as him crying over the body wrapped in white in front of her on the stretcher.
"Mommy, please. I can't live without you. Please, don't leave me here alone. I am scared".
His eyes widen as he realises that the girl he saw in a green frock with the body all over her and the bandages on her body must have been her.
