You sat at your desk filling out paperwork, completely exhausted. You tried to finish up as much as you could so you could at least get some kind of rest. You didn't want to leave a lot for future you, which is why you're stressing so much. You let out a sigh as you laid your head down on your desk to rest your eyes.

After what felt like five minutes, you opened your eyes and stretched with a yawn. Still completely exhausted, you looked and the clock and seen that it was 1am, "How long was I asleep?!" You asked no one in particular and looked at the paper you had left on your desk. You groaned and immediately went back to work.

Time passed again and you heard your room door open, "You could at least knock first before just walking in." You said drowsily, not even bothering to look up to see who it was.

"What are you still doing up, (y/n)?" You heard a familiar voice ask.

"I should be asking you the same question and why are you in my room, Sabo?"

"I was going get a snack and seen the light shining through the cracks of your door." He told you.

"Greedy as always." You said, laughing to yourself and yawned.

"You look like hell. You should definitely save that work for tomorrow." The blond suggested and you shook your head.

"Nah, I'm fine~ I'll get some good rest after I finish this." You reassured him.

"No you are, you're gonna have to redo most of this stuff since you're writing half-asleep. You aren't even gonna remember most of this." He told you.

"I may not remember, but at least...uh...I forgot what I was gonna say." You admitted, "Oh! I was gonna say at least it'll be finished!"

Sabo shook his head, "Tomorrow morning you won't be able to tell what was a dream and what was real."

"Yes I will." You defended, "Now leave me be, you're distracting me." You shooed him away.

"You wanna bet?" He asked in a tone you haven't heard from him and it caught you off guard.

"How much you wanna bet?" You asked, fully interested.

"200 berries." He said.

"Deal." You both shook hands. Knowing Sabo, he probably had something up his sleeve, but you weren't gonna fall for it, not this time. You made sure to keep him in the back of your mind as you continued working and out of the corner of you eye, you seen him lean on your desk. You raised a brow, "Sabo, what are you up to?" You asked him, finally turning your head to look at him. You saw him lean in closer to you and your lips met. You weren't prepared for that at all, but you kissed him back a few seconds after and closed your eyes.

Next thing you knew you woke up at your desk, your lamp still on and sun shining through the window. You jolted as you realized you had fell asleep again. You fixed all the paperwork that was scattered on you desk and look at how much you had left. You sighed in defeat when you seen that you still had a lot left, "Fuck it, future me will be alright." Then suddenly you thought about the kiss that happened last night and blushed. You struggled trying to dictate if it was a dream or not because it felt real, but at the same time it didn't. You decided to go with the safest bet and go with it being a dream. Sighing to yourself, you got out of the chair and went to clean yourself up before going to the cafeteria to go some breakfast.

You walked in the cafeteria and Sabo spotted you almost immediately, "Hey, (Y/n)!" He greeted walking up to you. You couldn't even look him in the face without thinking about the dream you had.

"H-hey Sabo." You said softly.

"You okay? You look exhausted and your face is a little red." He pointed out, he's not mentioning anything from last night, so it must've been a dream.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine. Just lack of sleep making have weird dreams." You chuckled.

"Weird dreams?" He raised a brow.

Both of you grabbed your breakfast plate and sat at a table, "Yeah, it was weird because I was doing my paperwork late at night and you came into my room making a bet." You told him, leaving out the kiss on purpose.

"What was the bet?"

"That I wouldn't...be able...to tell what was a dream...and what was real..." You said slowly, realizing what just happened and the smirk on Sabo's face grew larger and larger as you realized, "D-did you really...?"

He nodded, "Yep." He said with a shit-eating grin and you groaned, falling for one of his tricks again.

"You suck!" You told him, hitting his shoulder, "So I guess that kiss didn't mean anything..." You mumbled.

"Did you want a meaningful one?" He asked, you weren't expecting him to hear you.

"I uh- I mean- I didn't think you had heard-" Sabo cut you off by grabbing both your cheeks and giving you another kiss, this one was more passionate than the one in your room. You kissed back immediately, not really wanting the kiss to end, but sadly, the lack of air force you two to pull away.

"You owe me 200 berries by the way." The blond whispered and you rolled your eyes.

"You ruined the moment with you need for money." You told him, before pulling out your wallet to give him his money.

(Not as long and probably shit...but I'm half-asleep writing this and I wanted to get something out for the oneshot 😭)
