All to Myself

"Hey, (Y/n)." You waved at probably the 3000th person that day as you walked down the halls of the Revolutionary Army's headquarters. It's not like you were a higher up or anything, you were just extremely friendly. Not really the personality anyone would expect in all honesty. Your personality is what got you well known in the first place, chatting with any and everyone, helping out when need be.

Since you were with the repair team, you didn't leave from the base hardly ever, only if supplies were needed.

As you were repairing a piece of equipment for a colleague, you heard someone enter the workshop, "Hello! Do you something fixed?" You greeted, not looking up at the person.

"(Y/n), can you fix my heart?" A male voice said and your head snapped up as he held your hands in his.

You gave the guy a confused smile, "Um...I can't fixed that, but if your feeling chest pains the infirmary is only a few doors down." You told him and heard the doors open again

The guy sighed, "You're so oblivious sometimes that it's adorable." He confessed.

"I'm sorry, but I really need to finish fixing this before that person's next mission and I heard someone else come in." You apologized, "Can you let go of my hands please?"

"Go out with me!" He practically demanded, his cheeks slightly red.

You froze for a bit, as this caught you off guard, "U-uh..." The guy stared deeply into your eyes like a child begging his mother for candy, "Sure." You gave him an unsure smile.

"Great! Meet me on the terrace at seven tonight, wear something pretty!" The guy practically shouted.

"W-wait I can't do-" He ran out of the shop before you could finish, "I can't do...seven..." You scratched your head, trying to figure out how to handle the situation. Just then you remembered someone else had entered, "Ah sorry about-" You seen the guy leaving and recognized the blond hair, "Sabo?"

———

You managed to tell the guy that you couldn't make it at seven because it was your turn to check the supplies. He understood and you both came to an agreement of nine.

You looked at yourself in the mirror, wondering why you went all out on the date, it wasn't like you had feelings for him. The red strapless dress that stopped a little under your knees glowed in the light from your room, the red flats did the same. You guessed it wasn't too much after getting a good look at it.

You heard a knock on your door and opened it, seeing the blond, a big smile grew on your face, "Sabo!" You exclaimed as you pretty much pulled him into your room, closing the door behind him, "I see you're back from your mission. I thought I seen you in the workshop earlier, did you need us to fix something?" You asked him.

Sabo stared at you for a bit before he answered, "A-Ah, no it's okay. Don't worry about it, I could always stop in tomorrow." He said sheepishly.

"Oh okay," You said with a smile, "Why'd you stop be my room?"

He scratched the back of his neck, "Ha, I actually don't know. I was walking pass your room and then I just knocked. Force of habit I guess." You nodded and it went quiet for a bit, "I heard your conversation earlier." He admitted. "I guess you're actually going through with that."

You let out a grunt and he gave you a confused look, "It's not like I like him or anything."

"Then why'd you say yes?"

"He's persistent...or so I've heard. If I would've told him no he would've kept asking me and I really don't like being bothered while I'm working." You confessed to him.

Sabo laughed as he stood up, "Well, I'll come back and check on you when it's over. You can be too friendly at times." He headed towards the door, "You don't want to keep your date waiting do you?" He raised a brow.

You sighed, "I guess not." You followed after him and closed the door behind you.

———

You sat on your bed with a huff, taking the pins out of your hair and letting it fall. You laid back on your bed waiting for the knock you know would be coming any second now.

Your eyes started feeling heavy and you were about to close them until you heard the knock. Talk about bad timing. You opened the door and let Sabo in, "So...? How'd it go?" He asked you as you closed the door behind him.

"Awful. He talked about himself the entire time!" You whined, "He basically told me his life story! He even told me things I did not want to know..." You shuddered.

"Did he at least ask your favorite color or something?" Sabo asked, sitting at your desk.

"I couldn't even get a word out!" I sat on my bed and laid back again, "My first date I've ever been on since I was born and the guy I go on it with talks about himself the whole time." You sighed.

"That was your first date?" Sabo asked, a little surprised.

"Yeah, it was." You groaned out, hiding your face behind your hands.

"Damn, sorry that sucked for you."

"Have you ever been on a date?" You asked him. The question slipped out before you could stop yourself.

He stayed silent for a bit, "Now that I think about it, I haven't either." He admitted with a chuckled.

"Well, if you ever decide to go on one, I wish you the best and hope it doesn't suck as bad as mine or worse." You told him, "And I've learned my lesson to not say yes to everyone." You added.

He laughed at your statement, "I'm glad, now you'll finally stop being so friendly."

"What's wrong with being a friend to everyone?" You asked him, tilting your head.

"You really don't see it do you?" The confusion was evident on your face as you stared at him.

"What are you talking about? I'm so confused right now."

Sabo sighed, knowing that there wasn't anyway of getting out of this explanation, "How do I put this..." He tapped his chin in thought before giving up, "A lot of guys have been having their eye on you recently."

You laughed, "It's not like I want any of them anyways." You told him. You thought you heard him sigh in relief but ignored it. "But I seen you've taken notice to it." You teased, "You jealous or something?" You giggled before looking at him and seen his cheeks turn a bright red, catching you by surprise. "Wait...you are?!" You sat up.

The blond turned away from you, "N-no, I'm not."

"Yes you are! You just stuttered! Don't lie to me Sabo, I caught you." You stood up and walked over to him, "And your blushing."

"It's just a little hot in here, that's all." He lied.

You rolled your eyes at his stubbornness and an idea popped into your head. You smiled to yourself before you bent down and kissed Sabo on his cheek, standing up straight again with your hands behind you back and a smile on your face. He gave you a shocked look and you started laughing, "You don't have to worry about someone stealing me from under you, I'm all yours."

Right after, the tall man stood up and immediately gave you a hug, "Good, I didn't like all those guys looking at you anyways." He said, making you laugh and you hugged him back.

"I knew you were jealous."

"I have you all to myself, so there's no reason for me to be." You rolled your eyes again, still stubborn.
