It was early evening. You, Koala and Sabo were walking around town after going out to eat. You all were just hanging out for your last day of freedom before you all went back to school, "You know," Koala started, gaining both you and Sabo's attention, "Since it's our last night together, we should do something crazy."

You raised a brow, "You want us to get blackout drunk?"

She laughed, "No not that crazy, but that's pretty close." She paused, "We should get tattoos together."

Sabo choked on his drink and you pat his back, "Y-you want us to what?!" He asked shocked.

"Get tattoos together! You know, like a symbol of our friendship."

"Can't we do a friendship bracelet instead?" You asked.

"You could easily lose a bracelet. Packing all your stuff and then boom, you drop outside when you're leaving the dorms after graduation." She said.

"But why a tattoo?" Sabo asked.

"I said let's do something crazy and getting a tattoo is the perfect idea! It's permanent, so we won't forget each other." Koala seemed pretty determined.

You sighed, "Fine. What tattoo do you want us to get?" Sabo gave you a shocked looked and you shrugged. He sighed soon after, giving in as well.

She tapped her chin in thought, "Hmm, how about a infinity sign with the initials of our first name under it?"

"That's simple enough." You both looked at Sabo for his answer.

He scratched the back of his neck and let out another sign, "I guess..." He mumbled and Koala jumped in glee and we headed to the nearest tattoo shop.

That was at least 5 years ago though. Now your sitting at your 9 to 5 office job staring at the tattoo on your wrist, remembering that night like it was yesterday. Every time you looked at the tattoo you wondered how the other two were doing, but mostly you thought about Sabo. Wondering if he's still single like you are or if he has a girlfriend, you wouldn't be surprised if he did. The man is very attractive.

You clocked out of your job and left the building and tried to figure out how the degree you worked so hard to get led you to this boring ass job.

You were lost in thought as you walked home and bumped into someone, "Oh, excuse me. I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." You apologized.

"(Y/n)?"

You looked up to the man that somehow knew your name, "...S-Sabo?"

You almost cried, it's been so long since you last seen him. You gave him a giant hug that he returned, "I can't believe it's you! Oh my god! It's been so long! How have you been! Why are you here?! We have to catch up! I'm so happy to see you!" You let your excitement take over, not letting him get a word out. You grabbed his hand and headed towards your apartment, "C'mon, my place isn't too far from here." You practically dragged him to your place without another word.

When you arrived at your apartment you made Sabo take off his coat and put it on the coat hanger next to the door as you did the same, "Sorry, this place might be a little small. It's a studio apartment. Do you want some coffee or tea or something?" You asked him as he sat on your couch.

"Uh, coffee is fine." He responded.

"Alright, coffee it is." You headed into the kitchen, "So what are you doing here? It's been so long!"

"I'm here on a business trip." He told you.

"Oh! I'm sorry were you on your way to a meeting or something? You don't have to stay, I don't want you to be late to something work related." You paused your actions.

"No actually. I just finished a meeting and was heading back to my hotel." He laughed, "You're pretty excited right now." He mentioned.

"Well yeah! It's been like five years since I've seen you or Koala! I missed you guys." You told him and put the coffee in front of him, "I look at the tattoo everyday and wonder what you guys would be up to." You admitted, rubbing said tattoo.

"Oh yeah, our tattoos." He looked at his, "Five years really is a long time. So much can change in that span of time."

You giggled, "Yeah, that's definitely true. Speaking of changes," You put your hands on your chin and smirked as you watched him drink his coffee, "How's your love life?"

Sabo choked, "What is up with you and Koala saying strange things while I'm drinking something?!"

You laughed, "I guess you remember that day like it was yesterday too."

"Why are you asking me this?"

"I was just wondering. I can't wonder about one of my best friends love life? Mine has been pretty boring. Boring office job with boring coworkers. It's hard finding someone interesting in this town." You frowned.

"Well, sorry to disappoint, but mine has been pretty boring too." He said, "I'm too busy working to worry about being in a relationship right now."

You pouted, "You workaholic." You laid your head on his shoulder, "I kind of was hoping you were single." You admitted.

Sabo have you a confused look, "Why?"

"Because...all these years being away from you made me realize something."

"And what was it that you realized?"

"You really want me to say it, huh?" You took in a breath, "Well first off you're very attractive." You both laughed.

"Thanks, but I knew that already." He smirked and you rolled your eyes.

"Well I take my comment back and I won't finish what I was telling you." You crossed your arms and looked away from him.

"No wait, (y/n) I was kidding. You can finish tell me." He pleaded.

You only shook your head, "I'll think about it."

"Aw c'mon (y/n)! Don't leave me wondering." He cried, you finally looked at him.

It was silent as you both stared into each other's eyes, no one saying a word. You let out a sigh, "I really can't say it." You blushed, "But actions speak louder than words, right?"

Sabo gave another confused glance, "What are you-" You cut him off by giving him a kiss.

After a second you pulled back, face as red as a tomato. It was silent for a second until Sabo laughed, making your face even redder, "I guess they do speak louder than words." Was all he said before cupping your cheeks and pulled you in for another kiss.
