Two years had passed since the battle against the Night King and the Iron Islands thrived under the rule of Yara Greyjoy, the Queen shadowed constantly by a certain blonde woman. Not that Yara minded, in fact she was known to develop a horrible mood whenever the other woman wasn't near. It seemed as if all of the castle held its breath around the Greyjoy whenever Darya went off on diplomatic trips to King's Landing. That, however, was thankfully not the case as Darya lounged at the desk in her and Yara's shared room.
She smiled as the Greyjoy walked into the room, the woman smiling back fondly and she made her way over and placed a light kiss to her lips.
"Writing another letter to Missandei?" Yara asked, taking off her boots and sitting on the edge of the bed behind Darya.
"Of course, her and Greyworm are having a great time in Naath," Darya answered, turning in her seat to face the other woman.
"Perhaps we should take a holiday of our own?" the Greyjoy suggested, reaching out and brushing a stray strand of hair out of the other woman's face.
"Are you forgetting you have your responsibilities as Queen to take care of?" Darya replied, letting out a chuckle as she melted into Yara's touch.
The Greyjoy paused for a moment, her thumb stroking the other woman's cheek. The brunette just stared at Darya fondly, amazed that there was a woman as perfect as her in the world. A woman as strong and brave as she was absolutely gorgeous.
"Even Queens are permitted honeymoons, aren't we?" Yara asked, her eyes studying the woman in front of her as she froze.
"What?" Darya asked, not sure if she understood what the other woman was saying.
"Marry me, Darya. I know it's out of nowhere and not that romantic but... I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to sail with you, walk with you, live with you. I love you," Yara rushed out, getting off the bed to kneel in front of Darya's chair while staring up at her with all the love and admiration she felt displayed clearly in her eyes.
"I love you too," the blonde replied, tears in her eyes as she lunged forward and pressed their lips together.
"Is that a yes?" Yara questioned as they pulled apart, her expression hopeful.
"Of course!" Darya exclaimed, rolling her eyes before connecting their lips yet again.
