Remi
My spotless neat room is used for my meltdowns. The walls are soundproof so I have absolutely nothing to worry about.
"AAA!" I scream.
Probably nothing to worry about.
If those FBI agents had checked my duffle bag, everything would have been ruined. I did not expect them to come to my house today at all.
They caught me off-guard...
I take a deep breath and quickly scurry down the stairs.
I must answer their questions fast before dad comes back home.
"Hey, want something to drink?" I ask, forcing a smile on my face.
"A glass of water would be nice." Will tells me, his baby blue eyes meeting mine. They lock together, mesmerizing me with his gaze so intense and fierce.
It was as if he could see right through my soul.
I drop my gaze and heat flashes across my cheeks. I mutter, "Okay." and speed walk into the kitchen.
"This is bad, how am I gonna answer their questions without looking at Will?" I grunt quietly as I pour two glasses of water. I hate how Will Louis has this stupid effect on me, nobody has ever looked at me like that. I walk back towards them and give them their water, avoiding eye-contact with Will. I sit down next to them.
"So.. Remi, nineteen years ago your mother... Was murdered," Finn winces, asking me permission to continue with his eyes. I nod my head and give him a subtle smile. He smiles back and continues, "I want you to tell me what you remember about that night."
I hesitate. Will puts a comforting hand on my shoulder, sending what feels like electricity through me.
"Remi, I know it's going to be hard to talk about," Will says calmly. "But it's important."
"Really important." Finn adds seriously.
"Um, actually..." I look downwards. "I don't remember anything, I just remember waking up in a hospital bed the next day to see the news of my mom's death on TV." I say dryly.
"Do you remember where your father was that night? 'Cause the case file says he had an alibi." Finn looks at me expectantly.
"Well, like I said, I don't remember anything at all, but he told me he was at work." I state as I am trying my best to show no expression on my face.
Will asks, "Do you suspect anyone to have murdered your mom? Do you know anyone that had intentions to do such a thing? Do you think the thefts that have been happening has anything to do with your mother's death? Do you know any of the women that were killed?"
I blink at him nervously. "No, no, no and no." Once again his eyes dig into mine, the determination in them sparkling, ripping me apart inside.
This man...
"Okay! I think that's all for today." Finn gets up sloppily.
"May I have your number, if we need to ask you some more questions?" Will looks at me and once again, I get lost. I could stare into his eyes all day... He blinks, snapping me out of the spell he had casted on me. "Oh, urgh, right..." I mutter as I feel myself blushing. Thank god for my brown skin, otherwise I will be as red as a tomato. I rattle off my number and walk them out of the house. I stop at the doorstep.
"Finn, you go ahead, I have something to do," he tells Finn, who wiggles his eyebrows at me and jogs away from us. "So..." Will runs his hand through his hair.
I am so screwed.
