Remi
I walk into the hotel room Will and Finn are staying in, both of them are sitting on the sofa, they seem to have been waiting for me to arrive. "Hey Remi, want something to eat? You must be starving!" Finn asks me.
My stomach rumbles, reminding me that I haven't had lunch. "Yeah, I'm quite hungry... I haven't eaten my lunch yet due to everything that just happened."
Finn smiles at me and stands up to go to the small kitchen in the corner of the room. "We... Um, don't really know how to cook," He says ashamed, then lights up. "but thankfully this hotel provides us free cup noodles. I could get something from a shop if you don't like it." Finn tells me as he takes it from a cupboard.
My mouth waters to see the flavour of the noodles. Curry flavour... My favourite!
"Are you kidding me Finn?! I love cup noodles!" I exclaim and I watch Finn fill the cup with hot water, I lick my lips eagerly.
"Wait... Did you guys actually break some bones?" I ask, amused to see a cast on Finn's left arm and bandages around his jaw and Will with bandages around his nose and a cast on his right-hand wrist.
"Yep." Will answers with a sigh. "Finn fractured his arm and bruised his jaw and I bruised my nose and fractured my wrist."
After three minutes that felt like an eternity, I eat the delicious noodles. "It's so good!" I moan.
Will's cheeks go pink, avoiding eye-contact with me while Finn laughs knowingly.
"What?" I ask, genuinely curious.
Finn laughs harder, tears of mirth forming in his eyes, snorting as well. "Seriously... Did I do something weird, or something?" I ask again.
"No- You did nothing weird Remi." Finn tells me in between laughs. "Will is just having dirty thoughts about you. I mean I don't blame him... The woman he's crazy about is moaning and licking her lips in front of him." Finn breaks down with laughter.
I glance at Will to see him go so red, almost unhealthily. My own cheeks flare in embarrassment.
Thanks, Finn. Real mature.
I fake a cough. "Well, um... The noodles are just too good."
"Of course it's good! I'm the one who made them!" Finn exclaims, who seems to have controlled his laughter.
Phew... A change of subject. "Pftt, all you did was pour hot water into it." I scoff at him.
"Whatever..." Finn mutters jokingly. "And um, can I ask you some questions regarding the case?"
"Sure, I guess." I say cautiously. I must not give away anything.
"Well, we realized that the person we're looking for is quite a misogynist... You know what that means, right?"
I shake my head no.
"Alright, I'm gonna go English teacher mode," Finn starts explaining. "Misogyny is the hatred or prejudice towards women or girls. Our guy despises women for some reason, as he is specifically only targeting them. We don't know the motive for such hatred... Any idea of a guy who's like that?"
I guess my dad is quite the master misogynist.
"No, not really."
I've been trying to find dad's motive for murdering women for as long as I can remember.
Finn nods his head and shares a look with Will, who clears his throat and finally looks at me, the colour on his face seems to have faded. "We also found something at your house.."
