Remi
I stare at the house full of childhood memories, my only good memories. The golden hour, making the house look glowing, like a palace. We had gotten the warrant just as the sun was setting and so we decided not to waste any time.
My home, where the nightmare started.
"I haven't been in there since that night." I say more to myself than to Will and Finn.
Will squeezes my shoulder. "Hey, if this is too hard for you, you don't have to do it."
I smile at his concern. "It's okay, I can do it."
I take a deep breath and turn the doorknob. I take a step into the house, the floor creaks on every step, while Will and Finn follow me. It's exactly how I remember but without any furniture. My eyes wander around, taking everything in. I stare at the living room, goosebumps cover me whole, a massive migraine explodes in my head. A foreign memory starts playing.
There daddy is, staring at me with pure rage and.... Evil, in his eyes. His hair is a mess. Blood is splattered everywhere on his body. His white t-shirt is soaked with it.
I looked down to his hand and I saw him holding a knife that was dipping with bright red blood.
"Remi, are you okay?" A voice asks in a distance, I don't know if it's Will or Finn. I'm too lost in my new trauma.
"Mommy, wake up!" My shrill screams echo back at me.
I turn mommy around. Why is she so cold? She doesn't really look like mommy either, is this not mommy?
I fall on my knees, overwhelmed with everything flashing in my mind, perplexed as I'm seeing through my five year old eyes again.
Why am I scared? Am I scared of... Daddy? I gasp as he comes towards me and grasps my hair into his hand forcefully.
He starts, "You little bi-" I bite him hard on the arm before he can finish.
His expression of surprise changes into a horrific smirk. "Remi, oh Remi," He sings manically. "Why did you bite your daddy?"
"I-I don't know..." I stutter. Shivers go down my spine.
"Well then, you must be punished." He picks up a chair from the dining table. I begin to scream.
"No! Daddy, p-please don't-"
'CRASH'
My eyes pop open and I gasp, tears run down my eyes.
I remember.
"Remi! What's wrong?" Will asks me panicking, his voice full of concern.
I remember.
"Are you alright?" Finn asks me.
I remember.
"I'm fine. Sorry, I don't know what happened..." I mutter.
Will looks at me like he doesn't believe me but nods his head. I want to tell him but I can't, not in front of Finn.
I remember.
I lost my memories of that night because Richard Hood decided to hit me with a chair!
It was dad...
But that was not mom.
The woman I thought was mom has this birthmark on her neck that mom doesn't.
Dad wasn't lying... Not completely.
Then.... Was that dad or was it Tom... His twin brother?
