Uninvited

" Sora-kun right? I'm Aiko. Nice to-"

"Ah, yes. Later then." I stood up from my chair and exited the library.

Tokizane Aiko, I've heard of her. She transferred to Class A a week after second-year started. For some reason, she keeps popping up where I am, often. Too often that I find it uncomfortable.

"Sou-chan. I thought we were gonna study?" Akira titled her head in confusion. Right, it'll pass soon. I patted her head and smiled.

"Right, you choose the spot in the library. I'll go get the materials."

"See? That icicle only has eyes for our sweet little pancake." Gin nodded at Tora's statement. True, the only girl I'm serious is about Akira, but why would she doubt herself?

"Stop calling her pancake twig." Tora was already on my nerves, yet why bring another eyesore? I came to find one uninvited guest in our study group.

Tokizane. This is giving me migraines.

 "Sora-kun, I don't get this part."

"Ah, I'll explain it for your Aiko-san! " Akira volunteered, saving me from the treacherous perfume she was wearing.

 Just like that every week...

 "Sora-kun!"

 For god's sake...

 "Ah, there you are Sora-kun!"

Stop!

 ------

"Uhm, can you stop this? I really find it uncomfortable." That's it, she's getting on my nerves, not in a good way.

 "Eh? I didn't do anything though?⁓"

"Huh?" We were in the school hallway, there were people going around their business, she didn't have to raise her voice to attract attention. But I've had enough.

"First off, you're everywhere like a mosquito, disturbing me, I don't like it when you get too close and try to make physical contact with me. Plus, it's been weeks, so to be simple, either you're too friendly or too annoying! And neither I find comfortable, so please kindly keep your distance Tokizane!"

 There you go, I'm pissed.

 "What's the difference?"

 Huh?

"Everyone knows, I'm better than Akira-chan!"

I take that back...I'm disgusted by her.

"I'm sorry but Kira has nothing to do with this?" I titled my head and shook it, I don't want some stranger, who knows nothing about us, get between us.

"Hmm ⁓" And just like that she twirled around and skipped to her class. Akira...don't tell me that idiot is actually involved in this.

"Kira, you're spacing out again." I called out to her as she snapped out of her thoughts and started writing down, except the fact that she wasn't writing, she was doodling.

"Kira," I closed my book and stared at her until she'd bother giving me a bit of her attention.

"Aghhhh! I'm sorryyy." She slumped down and pouted. I shouldn't be going easy on her, but I find it strangely...cute...

"I didn't say you did anything wrong, so, what did you do?" I smiled at her, hopefully, it wasn't the same smile I'd always show her.

"Aiko-san wanted to be friends with you, but somehow I end up getting jealous. And I feel like she's trying to get close to you more than friends and that pisses me off!" I chuckled at Akira conflicting herself. Tokizane was new to the school and the rumors are too old to reach her, so I'll have to confront her.

"Kira, what if Tokizane actually takes me away?" I rested my face in my palm, leaning close to her and asked. Akira expressed fear and anxiety, that's a rare sight.

"I'd snatch you back! You shithead!" She leaned forward to me and I gave her a slight kiss. I can't keep letting Akira take all the initiatives.

"W-wh-why d-di-"

"Cuz I'm not going anywhere." Yeah...I'm not going anywhere, I'll stay by Akira, as much as she wants me to. And as much as I can.

I patted her head and reassured Akira, all I have to do is tell Tokizane that we're dating and hopefully she'll back off.

But things...barely go according to plan....

Kun - Informal version of "san" and is mostly used for males, such as boys or juniors. It is used by superiors to inferiors, by males of the same age and status of each other. It can be attached to both surnames and given names.
Chan - Commonly used for children but is also widely used among female family members and close friends. Chan has a sense of cuteness and acquittance, so it is also used towards pets and lovers.
