Miri,
I know I haven't been the best sister these past days and for that, I am sorry. Would you like to meet? I can see you at 4pm if that's okay? I will send you the location. Hope to see you soon.
Love you,
Clary xx

'You came!' Clary ran over to hug Miriam.

'Of course I did Clary.' Miriam sat down on the bench outside the institute.

'So, I found out there's this thing called the mortal cup.' Clary went on. 'It's does horrible things and my mom stole it from this guy called Valentine.'

'What! He could've hurt her.' Miriam stuttered.

'You know about Valentine?' Clary asked.

'I kind of found out that Valentine killed my adoptive family. If it wasn't for Magnus bringing me to your mum. I would've been killed too.'

'Oh my god Miriam.' Clary gave a comforting hug. 'Did you find anything out about your birth family?'

'No, not even Magnus knows who my real parents are.' Miriam sighed.
'So what do we do about this cup? If Valentine knows your mum stole it he might think you know where it is.'

'That's exactly the problem.' Clary stammered. 'I have no idea where it is and everyone seems to think I do.'

'We'll make sure they understand- ' Miriam stuttered.

'They won't believe it.' Clary explained.
'Im going to go to the city of bones, they might be able to help bring back my memories.'

'I'm coming with you Clary.' Miriam insisted.

'Are you sure?'

'Of course.'

'Okay.' Clary smiled. 'We're leaving soon, do you want to meet the shadowhunters?'

'Are they hot?'

Clary giggled pulling her Miriam into the institute.

'Simon!' Miriam hollered.

Simon wrapped his arms tight around Miriam. She broke free to see a group of people standing in front of her.

'I'm Jace.' A gruff voice introduced.

'The one who bumped into Clary.' Miriam jested making him chuckle.

'Alec' a tall, handsome boy with dark hair added.

'Nice to meet you.' Miriam adressed.

'And I am Isabelle, but you can call me Izzy!' A dark haired girl who quite looked like Alec, beamed.

'I love your heels!' Burst Miriam.

'Finally someone around here appreciates my style!' Izzy rolled her eyes playfully to Jace and Alec.

Miriam, Simon Izzy and Alec waited outside the decrepit door to what Clary had called 'the city of bones' Simon was chatting to Izzy by the fire as Miriam leaned against a tree. She was practicing shooting smoke from her fingertips when Alec walked over.

'Are you a Warlock?' He inquired.

'Sure am, I only found out like two days ago though.'

'That must have been quite a shock.'

'Not really, I guess I always knew there was something different about me. Strange things would happen when I was sad or angry. I was like Harry Potter when he went to the zoo with Dudley.'

'Who's Harry Potter?' Alec drawled.

'Don't tell me you've never seen or read Harry Potter.'

'Nope!'

'I'm gonna make you watch it.'

'No you're not.'

'Try and stop me.' Miriam remarked making Alec chuckle.

Alec stopped as he saw Simon walk by.
'Where is it going' he grumbled.

'We'll be right back.' Izzy answered and Alec raised his brow. 'What! He passes the time!'

'I can hear you guys you know!' Simon piped.

Not long after Simon and Izzy left, Clary came running out of the door followed by Jace.

'What happened?' Alec coaxed.

'Valentine is my real father.' Clary whimpered.

Miriam chuckled in disbelief. 'You mean like the same Valentine that killed my family?!' She jeered.

'Miriam- I - ' Clary stuttered.

'Jace this thing turns up out of nowhere, walks right into our institute. Then only just finds out she's Valentine's daughter. That's bullshit!' Alec boomed.

'Alec stop it.' Jace warned.

'Do you seriously think I asked for this. Why would I want my mom to be taken. And Dot and have that stupid sword—' Clary blubbered, being interrupted by Izzy.

'Simon's gone.' She spoke.

'What!' Both Clary and Miriam shouted in unison.

'You were supposed to look after him!' Clary screamed before running off.

'We should split up.' Jace suggested as everyone agreed.

'Simonn..' Miriam pronounced into the darkness of the trees. She heard the crunching of the leaves beside her, before she had time to look someone or something grabbed her from behind..
