Miriam's fist pounded against the door of the hotel Dumort. 'Where is she!' Miriam screamed. The door flew open.

Mi amor, what a wonderful surprise.'

'Not now Raphael' She attempted to push past him. 'Where is Camille?'

'Absolutely not.' He gripped her arm.

She tried forcing herself free but to no avail. Raphael was too strong. 'Let me go!' She screeched.

'Did someone call for me?' A voice echoed along the corridor along with the loud clacking of heels. Camille materialised in the entryway. 'Well hello there darling.' She spoke in a sultry tone.

'You!' Miriam spat. Raphael now had hold of both of her arms behind her back. 'What did you do to Simon?!'

'Oh that little thing?' She chuckled then frowned, pouting her red lips. 'All I did was give him a little taste.'

'What?' Raphael questioned.

'She gave Simon her blood Raphael.' Miriam spoke, screwing her face in disgust at the woman who stood before her.

'Camille. That's against the law. You know this.' Said Raphael.

Camille giggled childishly. 'What's life without a little fun? Besides, he's already dead. I took care of that already.'

Just when she said this, Miriam began to realise that it wasn't lipstick which stained her lips red. It was blood. Fresh. Hot. Blood.

Due to the shock of this new information, Raphael had unknowingly let go of Miriam's arms. She took her chance, lunging towards her, fist connecting with jaw. Raphael reacted quickly but Miriam was already on top of her. Camille was screeching like a cat, scratching at Miriam's exposed skin. Raphael yanked her up, pulling her like a doll. He took her to his room, throwing her on the bed.

'Why would you do that Raphael?!'

'She would've killed you. Besides how will you look standing against her in trial after attacking her? You have to understand it will cause more problems. Not only for you but for me as well.' A harsh vein protruded from his neck.

Miriam shut her mouth. The adrenaline was lowering and tears began to form. 'Is he really dead?'

'I don't know. But if he is it's not the end. There's other options.' His voice lowered.

She beleived him. Miriam wasn't sure if it was the warm brown in his eyes or the soothing touch against her wrist. Or even none of those at all. She didn't know or care, right now she was putting all her faith in Raphael's words.

'Stay here. I'll have someone collect you if i find him okay?'

Miriam nodded, too shaken to speak. Raphael planted a gentle kiss against her forehead before he left and Miriam curled her legs to her chest. 'Come on Simon.' She spoke aloud to herself.
