Miriam didn't want to walk with Jace or Clary or even Rapahel. She trudged along the damp earth stepping over a grave every few feet. She was always taught never to step over the bodies and she never questioned it, especially not now. Not when they were carrying her best friend to his own grave.

'Hey, Miriam.' Called Clary. She turned to see the group had stopped and Raphael had placed the body of her friend on the soil. 'I think this is a good spot.' She said.

Miriam held her breath as she watched Raphael holding out both a dagger and a shovel.

'It's time.' He said darkly.

Clary whimpered quietly but she did not speak. She looked at Jace, then at Miriam then back to Raphael. Taking the shovel, she began to dig. Miriam let out a sigh of relief.

'Clary.' She said. 'You made the right decision.'

'I hope so.' Clary replied, pushing the metal into the dark soil.

Miriam could hear rustling somewhere in the distance, her heart began to beat rapidly. She could sense something was wrong. 'Stop.' She ordered Clary who froze. Miriam began to back away towards Raphael. She gripped his arm, not daring to look away from the source of the noise.

'What is it, Mi Amor?' Raphael furrowed his brows in concern.

'I think someone is watching us.' Miriam whispered. Jace pulled out his Seraph blade, darting his eyes across the graveyard.

Raphael seethed as Camille appeared in front of them. He latched onto Miriam's wrist to stop her from attacking.

'You've got a nerve, coming near me again.' Miriam snarled.

Camille giggled in her most sickly manner. 'I'm just here to get my property back.'

'What?' Clary snorted. 'Simon is not your property!'

Camille rolled her eyes at the girl. 'Just hand him over, I'll be on my way.'

Jace stepped forward, sword bore. 'Hands off.' he retaliated.

'Fine.' said Camille. 'I tried to do this the nice way.' She snapped her fingers and suddenly they were surrounded by members of the undead: vampires, and a lot of them.

'How sweet.' Laughed Raphael. 'You brought everyone here to witness your demise. Camille killed this mundane, and he's not the first. She's been breaking the accords for too long now. And here is the proof.'

Camille laughed in fake confidence. 'Are you seriously trying to overthrow me, Raphael?'

'No.' He said bluntly, bearing his fangs. 'I already have.'

Camille looked startled. 'Nobody listens to him! Do you hear me? Raphael doesn't know the first thing about leading.'

'Oh really?' Raphael chuckled.

'Yes.' said Camille defiantly. 'You need me. I've given you everything you could ever want.'

'Not everything.' Raphael retorted.

'What, like your little Warlock slut?'

Raphael snarled. 'Don't you dare talk about her like that!'

'Oh shut up Raphael.' Camille rolled her eyes. 'She means nothing to you.'

'She means everything to me!' He roared, Miriam's heart skipped a beat.

'Whatever.' Said Camille.

'You give people what they want by breaking the law because you know that nobody would want to follow you otherwise.' Spoke Raphael. 'You will be the one to destroy us.'
