Ouch

Asia

I guess I got my payback for hitting the girl yesterday. It turns out, I fractured my wrist on that ball. Ouch. Oops. I suppose that’s what I get for not apologizing. Venus thought the video Juarez took of it was hilarious. She laughed basically all morning. I was glad to get away from her when I went over to Hanna’s house for a sleepover.

I broke up with Zach this morning because he was seeing this other girl named Kinsey. It was fun, and then he got all mad and broke up with Kinsey, but then they got back together because a different guy I know from another town named Silas asked me out and I said yes because I knew him and he is really, really cute. Teen romance is very complicated. Kinsey and I are friends, and she was there too, along with Hanna, obviously, Gillian, Mckenna, me, and the most annoying girl in the whole school, Alaina, who had been trying to get Zach for at least two years. She never stood a chance against me. A flat chest, no hips, no butt, and no brain, that’s what she got, or, doesn’t. It went well, in my eyes. We set out all our stuff and chatted it up while we waited for everyone else. Alaina was last, probably on account she can’t drive yet. It was about 10:30 PM by the time she showed up, breathless.

“Hey, I had to walk. My brother isn’t home.” she excused herself easily.

“At least you didn’t have to ride with Gillian,” Kinsey complained.

“Hey, I’m not that bad of a driver. You’re worse,” Gillian retorted. Kinsey stuck out her tongue. Then we got down to business and gossipped about boys. Kinsey and I were the only ones with boyfriends, so none of it was any fun until Hanna realized this small flaw.

“So, Asia, who, exactly, is this guy you’re with from that other school on the other side of Oakland?” Hanna asked interestedly.

“Um, his name is Silas,” I informed her shortly and in a small voice. I’m not a big fan of the spotlight. Hanna continued to stare at me, until I hit her in the face with a pillow.

“OW! Hey, come off it!” Hanna shouted, hair all over her face. She wiped her blond locks out of her eyes, and scraped strands off her tongue while the rest of us fell off of our couches laughing. We watched movies and ate popcorn until 2:30 in the morning, the time at which we all passed out with the TV still on.
