The day I left China was a terrible one. Not only was rain pouring outside, there appeared to be quite a bit of it on my face as I hugged (and kissed) Helix farewell. I decided to take some food back for all my friends, not that it would make any difference. Food would disappear fast, and then there would be nothing but a phone number, not even one image of that beautiful angelic face I was in love with for two weeks. But of course, as sweet as he was, he left a picture in my pocket when I squeezed the breath out of him, as did Callista, Selina, and Brei Ida. Carter and her parents came down to send me off. I believe her mother had liked me, in a sense that I was mature(ha ha) and quite intelligent (don't even laugh). Her dad had even approved of me by now, even though I made half his body guards take a forced sick day. Helix took the other half. She gave me a picture and a phone number, just in case I ever needed to have royalty at my side. Helix brought me a ring made of jade, my favorite kind of green, and Brei let me have one of her extra throwing stars which, I must say, is awesome. Callie gave me piece of electrum with a colorful insulator, a.k.a., a lipstick taser. Carter's gift though, I tell ya, it topped all the other ones put together. She gave me a crown. She had her person fashion one with gems of different colors, sizes, and value. There were luscious Jade gems, tortoise Turquoise, sparkling Sapphire, even a few creamy Pearls she says are from the farthest into the ocean anyone has ever gone down. The frame is fashioned out of silver, and there are swirled patterns everywhere you look. Everyone else in my family got something too, though not as big or fancy as mine. For Venus, there was a bottle of perfume labeled, "Goddess of Love", for Juarez, a silver chain with a cross hanging from it, for Chad, well, he got a little statue of an elephant to represent the African country he was named after. China got a book of facts about the Asian continent, and Alaska received a dainty flower made from silver, painted all bright colors, Thalia was given a necklace with symbols for 'little sister', and my parents both got matching tee shirts with Mandarin written all over the back. Speaking of mothers, my real one came down with the entire family, to see their two daughters off, and my eyes finally dried as the plane departed the runway at high speed and took to the sky, leaving my loved ones behind me.

Gosh dang it people! Read the good book for goodness sake!
