The act of loving one who loves you; a love returned in full
As I lose myself again and again with each turn of the page,
My heart is full but still heavy with regret,
For I will never experience an epic love story as
Achilles and Patroclus,
Their bond complex yet unbreakable,
Even death could not separate them forever.
Or Jude and Willem,
One forever scarred, both inside and out,
The other enduring the pang to mend his lover,
Bearing the weight of his emotional scars for both of them.
Or Alex and Henry,
Enemies turned lovers,
A rivalry so strong they longed for the other's presence,
Stepping out of the shadows together.
I will never have such a love story as them.
