Adam and I were more in love than ever, and everyone knew it. Another month since he left the hospital; he was still on desk duty, but was slowly starting to be okay with it, since he only had another week behind the desk.

On the last day of his desk duty, while everyone was getting settled, I caught Ally out of the corner of my eye. She was at her desk leering at me, so I turned to her and smiled. She looked away in anger. I went back to work, and she got up to approach Kevin who was busy getting ready for the day.

Hank came out of his office, "we got a case! Regan, we're gonna need your help on this."

"What's up?" I asked.

"Possibly trafficking ring," he said.

"Human.. or...?" I asked again.

"We don't know for sure.."

"Okay. What do we got?" Jay asked. As Hank started to explain the call he got from homicide about dead kids, I got on my database to track the most recent batch of traffickers, and checked their mapping to see if any were in Chicago, or Illinois.

When I was done, and waiting for Hank to finish, I noticed Ally getting a little too close to Adam. When he noticed, he moved away and winked at me, I smiled back. She then shifted her buxom body toward Jay, and I let out a barely audible scoff, much to Adam's delight.

"Dr. Ruzek, anything?" Hank asked when he stopped talking about their plan.

"Yes actually," I said trying to suppress the smile hearing 'Doctor Ruzek' gave me. I cleared my throat before continuing, "FBI Human Trafficking Task Force, just the lost the trail of a high profile trafficker as he entered Illinois. Want me get an update?"

"Do it!" Hank said. "You know the drill, guys. Let's get to work! Ally, my office.." I smiled at the thought of her getting yelled at.

I got to work on making some phone calls, but before I could do that, the boss at the Chicago Field Office called to tell me that I passed all the tests, and could officially garner a badge and FBI issued firearm, as Special Agent Regan Callahan, PsyD. Badass. My business card was going to be sick.

I also recently took my boards to become certified as a clinical, forensic psychologist in NY, and CT as well. Passed them too.

"Oh great, sir! Thank you!" I'll come by tomorrow? Great. You too.." I said as I hung up.

"Baby.. who was that?" Adam asked without looking at me.

"Chicago field office," I smiled.

"Oh shit! You officially an 'agent' now?" He asked with a grin.

"You bet! Pick up my stuff tomorrow!"

"Good job babe!" He said as he walked over to kiss me.

"Thanks babe! Now I gotta make those calls!" I chuckled.

Later in the day, after I made all my phone calls and got an update on the sex trafficker the FBI I was tracking. I told them I would keep them in the loop, and coordinate the effort with Intelligence. "Hank!" I called to him in his office, he and Ally walked out.

"Ruzek.. what do we have?" He asked.

"FBI gave you the go to apprehend, alive, preferably. Just keep me updated so I can coordinate with them.."

"Hmm.. how 'bout you ride with your husband? Get some field experience, agent?" He winked.

"How'd..." I smiled. "I'd love that!"

"Other Ruzek, get her fitted for a vest later." I walked over to Adam and continued to my speech, "y'all know this, but just keep your awareness, apparently this guy has used booby traps before.. but if he's newer to Chicago, he might not have had time.."

"Understood!" Hank said sternly. Hailey was taking another call when we looked at her.

"Got more.." she said sadly.

"Ruzek's you two together. You good Adam?" We won't let you run." We both shook our heads.

"Ally & Atwater. Let's go." Hank finished.

I would be remiss in saying I wasn't excited as shit to be leaving the station and going on a crime scene call, with my husband no less. I loved watching Adam in cop mode. It was sexy as fuck.

We got to the crime scene and I could barely look; two adolescents, stabbed in the chest, several times. It was awful to see. They were around 16, a boy and a girl. It looked like the other victims of this sex trafficker, so I called it in and had to explain in detail, their wounds. I had to walk behind Adam's car to vomit; it was my first dead kid case. They are always rough. Felt like I was at a graveyard, emptiness and loneliness.
