Soulmates are one of life's greatest mysteries, scientists have been unable to explain this unnatural phenomenon since it happened. No one knows why you can write to another person on your skin, you just can.

Though some things have been figured out when talking about soulmates. Red ink means that it's romantic love, when you finally meet your soulmate you can't help but love them.

It's like the universe designed you to be with each other, to love each other until the ends of time.

But soulmates didn't only mean romantically, they also could mean platonic love. A bond between friends that could never be broken.

When the ink turns blue it means that your soulmate is destined to be your best friend. No one could understand you or have more fun with you than your soulmate.

But it can be a big thing for some people, it's like talking to a stranger on the internet, you have no idea what they are like, but you already know that they are meant for you.

But even so, everyone can't help but write to them.

Tommy looks nervously at his arm, the pen in his other hand shaking slightly with nerves and anxiety.

Fuck it. Tommy thinks as he scribbles down a quick sentence to his soulmate, waiting to see what colour the ink will change too.

No one knows why the ink changes colour, after a couple illegal experiments that involved some unlucky people get their skin ripped off, the questions stopped and it was just accepted as the norm.

Hello, I am your soulmate. When the ink starts to turn a dark lapis lazuli kind of blue, he quickly adds on a couple words.

I'm going to be your best friend and I haven't even met you.

Tommy sighs, he drops onto his bed as he watches his arm, the blue ink sitting there, no extra words appear as there is no response from whoever is on the receiving end.

The words seem to be taunting him in a way, after not writing to his soulmate before, maybe this is life's way of kicking him in the ass for his ignorance.

He turns his head, blond hair flipping over his eyes as he looks down at the black pen he is holding.

I wonder who it is.

Tommy turns his eyes back to his arm and sighs, though he's unaware what's happening to the person on the other end of the message.

"Oh my god! They wrote something!" Tubbo excitedly runs around his room with messy blue writing scribbles across his arm.

"My best friend is talking to me finally!" After a moment of pure excitement and joy, Tubbo scrambles to find a pen to write with.

Finally finding a crappy red one, hidden in the depths of a pile of clothes, he writes, with even messier writing a reply.

hello! its nice to meet you solemate im Tubbo!

The boy just sits there, waiting for another note to appear on his arm. After what seems like hours to the young boy (even though it was only a minute) a sentence starts to form. The letters appearing one after another before making sense.

Hi Tubbo, I'm Tommy, a very manly cool guy. also, it's spelt soulmate.

Tubbo laughs as the guy- Tommy, corrects his dyslexia. The excitement still hasn't worn off and he immediately sets off to write another reply.

The two boys quickly hop onto their PC's; with arms decorated with blue ink like flower vines, adding each other as friends immediately. After some more writing, they finally get the others discord.

Tubbo quickly joins the VC that Tommy is in, buzzing with excitement to hear what his best friend sounds like.

"Hello!" Tubbo says.

"Hi Tubbo." Tommy says back, feeling the excitement and happiness burst through his headphones.

"You want to play some minecraft?" Tubbo asks, not bothering to stop and let there be any awkward silence between them.

"Fuck yeah!"

The two of them played for hours, and both found a lot about each other as the night progressed from a starry night sky into an orange and pink sunrise.

Tommy found out that Tubbo loves bees, though it could be said he likes bees a little too much. He was dyslexic and got way too happy and excited over the smallest of things.

Tubbo found out that Tommy loved to swear a lot, like, a lot, though it didn't bother him, and was forever loyal to Vikstar and when Tubbo asked about him, he wouldn't stop rambling about how amazing Vikstar is for about 10 minutes.

They both found out that they lived quite close to each other, and that they were going to the same Highschool ( as Tommy was changing to go to Tubbos school before he even knew who Tubbo was).

Nevertheless, after the two had finally decided to stop playing for a bit and went to sleep (but gave up after a couple hours as they both were too filled with excitement). They both decided to go meet up at a beach to see each other in person.

Tubbo stands nervously at the edge of the water, the sea occasionally flicking specs of sand up at him, getting into his denim jacket and flower crown.

"Tubbo?" A voice rings out in the distance, sounding over the oceans waves.

A boy in a red and white shirt, with blond hair looks straight at him and starts waving.

Tubbo starts to run over to where who he assumes is Tommy. His dirty blond hair sways with his steps as he quickly dusts off some sand on his overalls.

He finally stops running as he stops in front of Tommy, grinning like a mad man.

"Hi Tommy!" Tubbo doesn't stop smiling as he looks at his best friend that he just met; though it feels as if they've known each other since they were born.

"Hello Tubbo." Tommy also start to smile, both of them are grinning like crazy.

"Want to go paddle boarding?" Tubbo suggests, and with a nod from the other boy they both go and run off.

Tommy kicks sand up at Tubbo, who yells out and starts to run after Tommy, pretending to be angry even though they both knew that he definitely wasn't.

Tubbo and Tommy go and get the board, ready to have some fun.

The universe decided that Tommy and  Tubbo would be together, as best friends. And the universe never makes any mistakes.

The two boys will definitely cause trouble and chaos, but will at least have a great time doing it.
