HIGHSCHOOL AU
-> all the characters are in their last year of school. grian, iskall and doc are 18, mumbo and scar are 17 because why not

"Oops! Sorry!" Grian chuckles as he looks at another student who has fallen to the floor like him.

Smiling, Grian picks up the scattered books of the other male and hands them to him, not noticing how the hallways have become silent, even though it's packed with students.

"I'm Grian by the way, sorry for bumping into you!" He laughs shyly as he realised the height difference between himand the tall male.

"Mumbo." The tall black haired man mutters out, looking away, he realised that everyone's looking at him. Giving a sneer to the ogling students, he walks away.

"He sure was odd." Grian mutters to himself as he continues onto his next class.

The students around him in shock because of the interaction that just happened.

Did that kid really just introduce himself to the school's delinquent? And not get attacked?

"Your kidding me Grian!"

Grian finishes recounting his encounter with Mumbo, and looks confused at the face of his best friend Scar, who is in shock.

"Do you even know who he is?" Scar asks. Shaking his head no, Grian starts to become curious about this tall man.

"Mumbo is the school's delinquent, the bad boy. Him and his friends Iskall and Doc at always in trouble and getting into fights."

Scar looks impressed for a moment when he continues. "And you didn't even get pushed over, he even told you his name!"

By lunch, the rumours had circulated the school already. That someone had managed to get past Mumbo without any trouble at all.

"W-wait what?! Are you sure he's a bad guy, he didn't seem like it to me." Grian looks skeptically at Scar, who opens his mouth to say something before the doors of the cafeteria are thrown open.

In the door, the trio that Scar had been talking about walk through, causing the room to become quiet for a moment, before going back into quieter conversations.

"Does he not give off an evil vibe to you Grian!?" Scar shakes his head at his friend, sometimes he's too nice for his own good.

Somewhere in their conversation, the trio had broken up, and Mumbo was the only one left in the cafeteria. And was walking to a different set of doors, which meant he had to pass where Grian and Scar were seated.

"I'm going to say hi Scar!" Grian grins at the shocked look on his friends face, who looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

"What? No-" scar shuts up when Mumbo nears the table. Unable to tell his friend no he watches the encounter.

"Hi Mumbo!" Grian smiles at the tall man, who stumbles for a second when he realises someone actually talked to him.
