basement pt2 - architechs

here's the part 2 of the chapter I've been writing at 12 at night :p

"Haha! I told you Doc, Grian just told me him and Mumbo were together!"

Bdubs semi quietly (its Bdubs, he's not the most sneaky man in the world) bursts into Docs room, scaring the man as he sits at his desk playing Minecraft.

"Bdubs! You scared me, wait... what did you say?!" Docs voice turns from one of slight annoyance to confusion when he hears the end of Bdubs statement.

"But that's not possible, I promise you that Iskall said they were together." Doc says to Bdubs, looking very serious.

When Doc is looking that serious, he wouldn't lie, especially to one of his best friends, he does lie a little, but not about something like this.

The two look at each other for a tense second, before they both come to the same conclusion.

"What if Mumbo is cheating on Grian and Iskall with each other?" The two stare at each other, looking shocked, before Doc quickly pulls out his phone  and created a quickly chat, messaging all the hermits, except Iskall, Mumbo and Grian.

<Doc> YOU GUYS MEET IN THE LIVING ROOM NOW DONT LET ISKALL MUMBO OR GRIAN COME IN

<Xisuma> but it's so early, what so important?

<Bdubs> it's to do with Mumbo, we will explain when your here

After the message, the two ran downstairs, passing a sleepy Cub in the hallway, looking quite confused.

As they reach the kitchen, they see Mumbo and Grian still sitting there, and they both look up when they see Doc and Bdubs.

"Hey guys." Mumbo says, smiling. Doc and Bdubs however, just look at each other, then back to the other two.

"Can you two go downstairs for a little, it's just a surprise for you guys." Doc quickly says, the lie passing his lips before Bdubs can say anything.

Although they both look quite confused (Grian though looks a bit excited about the idea of a surprise though) they waddle downstairs with their cups of half hot coffee.

When they see the two go down the stairs, Doc and Bdubs walk over to the living room, where everyone else is seated.

"Now what's to important that you had to wake us up for?" Xisuma asks, though he looks slightly annoyed, he seems to be more concerned than anything.

"We think that Mumbo is cheating on Grian and Iskall with eachother."

The sentence takes a second for the others to process, as most of them just woke up, but finally they seem to understand and look back at the two.

"You really think so? How do you know?" Scar asks anxiously, hoping he just misheard the two. Mumbo wouldn't cheat right? Especially with his two best friends on each other...

"Well I saw Grian kiss Mumbo, and when I asked they said they were together." Bdubs quickly explains, looking to Doc to continue on.

"And yesterday I saw Mumbo kiss Iskall and they said that they were boyfriends!"Doc says immediately after Bdubs.

After the explanation, the room is silent, no one knowing what to say about this revelation, before Keralis breaks the tense silence.

"I didn't think Mumbo was the kind of person to cheat." He says, looking around at the faces of the others, eyes wide with sadness and shock.

Xisuma looks like he saw a hhost, unable to figure out why Mumbo would do something like that, Keralis and Cub are equally shocked.

Scar looks sad, but angry as well. "We should go confront Mumbo about this! I don't want Iskall or Grian getting hurt."

The others nod, but the silence pursues, before a loud thud is heard from the doorway, and three giggling men are seen lying on the floor.

Iskall, Grian and Mumbo quickly stand up to see they've been caught by the other roommates.

"What are you guys doing?" Mumbo asks innocently, though laughing slightly when he sees the looks on everyone else's faces.

Doc turns to Mumbo before speaking to him. "Are you cheating on them with each other Mumbo?" After a second of tense silence, the three architechs start to break out in laughter.

Soon the three are wheezing and struggling to breath because of it, while the others are looking thoroughly confused. After a minute when they had calmed down, Mumbo turns to the others.

"I'm not cheating on either of them." He states confidently.

"But we saw you kiss both of them!" Bdubs interjects, looking at him.

"Why can't I kiss both of my boyfriends?"

After Mumbos words there is just silence, the three boyfriends grinning like little kids as they watch the others.

Cub suddenly bursts out laughing. "We were so off the mark there." He says, the laughter causes everyone else to start laughing, as if it was contagious everyone ends up in a laughing fit.

"God we were quite wrong Bdubs." Doc mutters, a little embarrassed from the wrong direction his deduction skills went, Bdubs just laughs and pats him on the back.

While everyone were laughing, the three lovers had gradually drifted over to a spare couch, and were all squeezed onto it.

Iskall and Mumbo taking up the majority of the space, while Grian was happily squished in the middle, half sitting on them and half sitting on the couch.

Everyone continued to chat after that, talking about the relationship between the three and laughing more about the  very wrong guess from Bdubs and Doc.

After that it wasn't unusual to see the thee cuddling, and Iskall made it their life goal to tell all their other friends about what happened.

Even though Doc looks like he will be scarred by this for the rest of his life, everyone was happy for the three lovers.
