they met on lover's lane. well you might call it that, because its just a street corner but to them, it was lover's lane, where lover's meet.
the street corner was called, as you may have guessed it, lover's lane. they met while they were both jogging and it's quite a funny story actually because draco rarely jogs so you could consider it fate? or maybe just a plain coincidence, but either way, they met.
it was a tuesday, because everything important always seems to happen on a tuesday; it was seven in the morning, and an early bird hermione granger already had her running shoes on and she was already stepping out into crisp fifty degree weather. and draco, he was being pulled by his bestfriend pansy parkinson, because, and i quote, "you're unhealthy and i won't be going alone."
so they set off at six fifteen that faithful tuesday, in their running gear. and in a solid twenty minutes draco malfoy along with hermione granger, and i guess pansy as well, lives will change for the better.
it happened suddenly, like a classic eighties rom com ( which are the best ones ) and while the three were just passing by, hermione in her jogging form and draco with his hands on his knees heaving deep breaths while pansy stared at him shaking her head, you may have guessed and yes you're probably right, she fell. or almost that is.
draco saved her, her face inches away from hitting her face, and in lover's lane no less. hermione shrieked as her face almost collided with the hard cement and when draco helped her up: she stared into his eyes and he stared into hers. they completely forgot about everything and everyone near them, including the girl who came with draco.
and they stared and stared until the sky of the six in the morning, turned to dawn and hermione found herself smiling and with just the one word that fell from his mouth, he was hers and she was his.
