it happened in a flash, one minute they were eating and the next minute they were being told to evacuate due to an explosion that happened in muggle studies. how it happened no one knows.
people were out and being counted to make sure everyone was not inside of hogwarts. three hundred and six were here someone was missing, draco saw that hermione granger, his crush of two years and kinda rival, was still in there. without thinking he went inside the burning school ignoring the calls for him to not go in.
"hermione hermione!" draco screamed, hearing an echo. he heard a scream "help me please help me!" from across the way in the place that was once the room of requirements. "i'm coming give me a second!" he replied back
once he got there he saw and heard hermione screaming her lungs out screaming for help, her foot was stuck in what seemed to be a tie of some sort.
with just a flick of his wand, he got it loose and easily picked her up and started running to the exit. once they were about a foot from the exit they heard a crack and the ceiling fell inches away from them. he shielded hermione's head so she wouldn't get hit as bad as he would. they had to jump since the ceiling had made a hole on the ground. he grabbed hermione and throw her to the otherside of the hole.
when it was draco's turned he jumped and almost fell but hermonie caught him, just in time. he then climbed up with the help of hermione and draco then picked hermione up yet again and took her out of the now almost gone school. one minute later they were surrounded by teachers and students and were coughing like crazy due to all the smoke they inhaled. ---
"thank you draco thank you for saving me" hermione said with a small smile and then gave him a kiss on his lips for a second. which instantly gave him a shiver in his spine.
he just blushed and turned away from the witch.
"merlin. hermione are you okay?" she heard her best friend harry potter say "yeah i'm fine, he saved my life harry, draco saved me." harry just turned to draco and gave him a nod of appreciation.
that clearly said thank you for saving my sister and that's all he needed. -
